I 'm real down on myself today. I just got my CF-X yesterday and today I dry fired it because I accidentally left the breech open but it was still shooting good then I put the Gamo scope on and got it pretty well sighted in. Hooray for me!! Well then I went outside a little later and started shooting again well I must have bumped the front sight assembly because I noticed it slightly askew. It had come out a little bit but somehow I can't get it back in. How do I get it back flush with the muzzle brake. I tried pulling the side of the muzzle brake back slightly but I am afraid I'll break it. On top of this I think my scope must have lost center slightly too. I guess its just one of those days.

KYkeith,
Can't help you with the front sight....maybe with the scope though. I had my new one sighted in dead zero & it went away. I ended up taking everything off including the rail. Then I adjusted the stop screws and added plenty of 243 loctite on everything. Made sure all fasteners were really snug. If your not familiar with tightening bolts I would recommend a torque wrench so you don't strip them. So far it's holding dead on again. I have only ran about a hundred shots through it but it seems to be solid.
I think I'm going to order an accushot one piece medium mount for it just in case it starts moving again.
Good luck
Ken

Try this thread and see if it helps-starts as grub screw but then gets to the sight removal and installation.

undo the grub screw on top of the muzle, punch the tiny pin out from the bottom of the muzzle. slide muzzle shroud back. the front sights base slides in and out of a grooved slot. you can use a strong glue such as gorilla glue to hold it in place. just dabb a few drops on the bottom of the front sights base, slide it back and let it cure for a few hours and than slide the muzzle shroud back on and reassemble. it wont come off again. the front sight however is removable and should stay removeable. do not glue it.

Well put excellent explanation.

How close is the CFX barrel to the BSA? I'm beginning to think Gamo just took the barrels from the BSA for their CFX, literally, when they merged to two companies. Why else have a dovetailed sight when you can't drift it? Anyone know if the latching mechanism is the same? Seen a really nice steel shroud for the BSA underlever and wondered if it would fit a CFX? Just not a big fan of that factory shroud, plus would be nice to put something like a globe sight on a CFX.

What is the best way to punch the pin out

Nevermind the question LPC I just got it and got the front sight all the way back in. You were a big help thanks. Also thanks for everyone who responded for helping. This is why this forum is so great. Once again thanks.
