Does anyone have any thoughts or experiance using the Remington .177 pellets? They have the same shape and advertised weight as the Crosman field hunters, and Premiers.
I wonder if these are just field hunters with Remington's name instead and a higher price. Possibly Premiers? (though I doubt this myself)

Sgt., I have the feeling they are the same product wrapped in a different package. Over the past year that I've been involved with the "powder-free" weapons, I've come to the conclusion that the best and most consistant pellet made by crosman is their "destroyer" line of pellets. It's a shame that they don't produce them in a higher quantity container,...say the pint sized milk carton. I suppose they want to "milk" the consumer demand for as long as they can. $3.50+ per tin at a 250 ct seems a bit much in my opinion. I wish they made them in .22 cal. too. They are definately on to something good,...like they did somethime 'right' this time,..and they know it,..and the fact is, if they develope a demand for a certain product,they can sit on it and charge what they want,...kind of like the big corporate oil companies that are fleeceing the American consumer every day!!!! That's my take on it.

TJK, I share the same thoughts as you do. The Reason that I ask is because my local hunting store sells an wide variety of Beeman pellets as well as these Remingtons. I've tried most of the Beeman pellets and they really don't shoot well in my Quest. However I order Crosman Premier lights in bulk from Pyramid Air and they shoot wonderful. If these are in fact Relabeled Crosman hunting pellets then at least I now have a place to buy some pellets to hold me over till the next time I buy Premiers again.
Thanks for the heads up on the Destroyers, I've read some reviews over here but I haven't really got around to trying them out. Next time I order at Pyramid Air I'll pick up a couple tins.

Try them out, you might get some good results as I have. If you've got a place that has an assortment of Beemans, I'd try the Silver Bears, and the Cromags too. Air rifles are funny in that some pellets shoot better than others in different guns.Just takes some experimentation to find the best pellet for any particular weapon. Personally, I'd veer away from any non-lead pellets with a springer. Check out the CDT web site and read up on his take on pellet weights. Super nice fella, and a wealth of knowledge. Academy sports sell the Destroyers if you have one close by. Good luck. Thomas
