Hey Tim,
  You have gone the next level again. If you put a small lip of wood behind the target at the bottom. it traps the paper junk that shoots through. Dr. Joe's trap has one and it works quite well. Also, there is no place to put spare paper targets (I too shoot the "Mini-Sniping Target") and a slot holder on the back that would take 1" or so of spares with three sides (top and two sides) would keep the wind from blowing stuff all around. Last but not least, if you put a small LED light inside, the holes really jump out at you. Battery power with switch would be nice. Also, a wind flag on top of the box would show both speed and direction. So here is my dream list:
debris lip at bottom of box
1" or more of holder on back for spare 8 1/2 by 11 sheets
Light inside the box so old eyes can see the holes
room for 2" or more of duct seal/electrician putty with support shelf at bottom
   I think I am ready for another one of your traps. Are you going to sell these???

Oooooo, ahhhhhhh, nice.   Why, that looks good enough for the dining room table!  Excellent.  And I can disguise it with a nice photograph of the grand-daughter when I am not shooting, or perhaps a photograph of Bin Laden when I am shooting.  

I also bought out the local Home Depot AND the Lowes, but that was a few weeks ago.  Think I have a reserve of about 6 or 8 bricks.  But I will find more, even if I have to forage!  Please be sure to sign your work so I can say I have the "original".

Brown Santa arrive tomorrow with a new surprise - we will get to shoot it Saturday!!.  Are you trucking in that rascal J when you come?

PS:  I have your Rook cards, too.

A 12" wooden dowel that will slip in the box when not in use with a 6" strand of fluorescent yarn tied to the dowel and a small hole on top to stick the dowel in would be a simple and cheap wind indicator.  That seems like a simple after market modification, as does a tripod mount on the underside of the box to convert it from a table top model to a field model.

And put a hook to attach a kite string to, that way I can fly a kite from it and get a moving target.  And make it shoot back, so it's more challenging (Gotta have nerves of steel to shoot at it:))  And, and, and, can you make it hold a whole bag of charcoal, I hate it when the fire dies and I still haven't cooked all of the steaks and beanie weenies!  Oh and a refridgerator on the back would be nice for when I need to cool off during a shooting session.  Would also be cool if you could make it float, in case it floods while I am shooting.  Got all that?  I also would like it to be emblazoned with 14K gold diamells and inset with ruby encrusted platnum handcuffs....ow, did I say that out loud?

Looks good buddy, I may steal some ideas from you when I make my next one:)

Dang Tim, that is a great looking target box.................... to say the least.  A couple coats of shellac or whatever protects wood and stake it in the ground with a pole..:) Something that nice, I would put a sleeve in cement in the yard out away's and attach a large dowel rod to the box and slip it in the sleeve in the ground  so you could remove it when need be. Way to go Tim

Had forgotten you told me you can weld.  Do you have oxyacetylene or arc or both?  Might have a couple of small projects you could help with.  BTW, did you see the post PATLIK made about the polycarbonate shield for his chrony?  Might think about laminating a couple of 3 or 4 sheets of that and lining the back of a wooden box style trap to stop the pellets.    

Heck, if you can weld, why don't you make yourself some swinging metal plate targets.  Used to have 2 of these some years ago.  1/2 inch boiler plate cut in 6" diameter plates, hung on angle iron from an inverted "u-shaped" 3/4 inch metal pipe frame,  Faced the pipe with angle iron, too, and ran it about a foot longer than the pipe and cut it at a sharp angle to stick in the ground.  The angle iron tends to deflect stray rounds to the side.  If you hit the plate, you get a satisfying "plank" and the swing deflects the round down.  Holds up pretty well to most everything I ever shot at it except for .223 and 7.62 rifle rounds.  Those drill nice little round holes through 1/2 inch boiler plate.  Great fun for practicing double taps w/ 9mm or 45acp.

Got an acet-oxy cutting/brazingrig and230A AC/DC SMAWwith several sizes of 60, 70 and 99 series rod. Need to cook a stronger triggerplate for the .457, and work onthe tractor hauler. Just been slow going with the cough over the lastseveral days.

Damn! That's waaaayy too nice to shoot at! LOL! Got some skills bro! Add a poly shield to the face and it will stay looking good, maybe on the top too to keep off the rain?

   Hey, I like the tripod idea but this thing is heavy when full of putty. There is a trap with a light out there, saw it on the net. Did you see the closeup video camera shots that Joe C. has on the Pyramid site? He does not need a spotter scope as he just looks at a monitor on his bench with a camera focused on the target to see where the shots hit. When and not if, I get one of your traps, I will put a sailing windvance on the box, telltales have their limits.
  New idea: five  level 9MM shell casing stand with sighter target holder to fit the front of the new trap box for shooting MiniSniping more safely and with less lead in the neighbor's yard. I like the paper but it is great fun to hit the brass!!!
   Your toys never can be too much fun or left alone, mods are the way to go!!!
