: BKL 260 Mount

Hello,

I just finished mounting a BKL 260 one piece mount on my Model 890, no pins and no scope stops. I will start the evaluation tomorrow if it doesn't rain. I will shoot the set - up for a couple of weeks and report back. Best of luck...

Glad you all are taking a look at the BKL scope mounts. They truly are very strong and hold well..

Good Luck Rabbit.

Oh ya Rabbit. I just put a BKL 254 with a Bushnell 4 - 12 X 40 on my new Shadow .20 cal. Got over 300 pellets through it so far and no problems.. I really have allot of confidence in the BKL mounts, especially after the experience I had with my first S1K .177. Must have a 1000 or more through it by now and the BKL is holdin strong.

Gene,

Haven't got to shoot much because of doctors appointment and the weather.

I can relate to that Rabbit. Been going back and fourth to the VA Hospital for a month or two now. It is in Columbia which is 87 miles from me.

I'm watching this thread.  Earlier this past week I ordered a 260 High Mount from Arizona.  Should get it next week sometime.  I'll be mounting it to a Gamo Shadow 1K.

Hey, Larry,

Seems like I should know this, but just where is Cathlamet?  Isn't it on the Peninsula somewhere?  And are there any other Washington shooters on the forum?  I need a shooting buddy, and I still haven't been able to twist my little brothers arm into buying an air gun.  He wants too, the wife thing, don't ya know.

Dave

PS I've been real happy with Accushot mounts, 1 and 2 peice.  Built in stop pin, and less than $20.  S1k and CFX.

Hi Dave, Cathlamet is on the Columbia River, 20 miles west of Longview.  Heck, we're almost neighbors, ain't we?
I've got an Accushot 1 piece coming in this week also.  I'm going to put it on my Fast Deer.

Hello,

I have the BKL 260 mount on my Gamo 890. The mount is strong and very solid looking. I put a Bushnell 4 x 12 A/O scope in them . I have shot about 150 pellets thru the rifle. I put pencil marks on the scope, mount and rifle. It has not moved a bit. It is rock solid.
I think the matte finish on the mount helps it's holding ability. The 6 base screws hold the mount onto the rifle very evenly. The price of the mount is in line with the other top name brands. If you need something extra on your mount, they have a custom shop that can accommodate your needs. The mount looks good on the rifle. I would highly recommend this mount for any rifle that is having trouble with a moving scope mount.
     Best of luck...

Good show Rabbit... proof is in da puddin..:) Even the BKL 253 and 254 cantelever mounts are rock solid. I am using them on my Shadow's and CFX's now. On the cantelever mounts you have to spread the mount to get it on, so when you release the screws that you spread the mount with, it tightens up. Then you remove the screws and put them in the threaded holes to tighten the mount down after you get position..

Gene,

I also had to spread the mount with the screws to get it onto the mounting rail.  When I removed the spreading screws, the mount tightened itself down on the rail. It is a very good piece of equipment. Best of luck...
