Hey Tim:
Here is my first modification of the Tim-meeeehh! Target: Twisted handles of a teaspoon and a table spoon 90-degrees, drilled and screwed on either end of a hardwood dowel, then attach the dowel to the top of the target.
My second modification is already planned: 2 x 18" lengths of piano wire to slide 2 empty 12gr CO2 carts over, wires stuck vertically into top of trap. I'm thinking if I drill two very small holes through the dowel and into the top of the trap, then I can stick the wires through the holes in the dowel to secure it to the top. The all the "bling" can be easily put on or taken off the basic target. Cool.
PS: Guess the spoons and carts can only be shot at outdoors. Too bad.

hey tommy,
i bet your wife really likes the idea of you taking her silverware and shooting at it!...hehe!

Target. $4.95 for 6 spoons of each size. Thought about putting a swinging spoon out in front of the target trap, but then there's all that spatter and ricochet to worry about. But what she will be P.O.'d about is me taking some of the granddaughter's baby spoons for the really small silhouette targets!
Just wait till we get a couple of CO2 carts swinging on a stiff piece of piano wire to snipe at. It'll make shooting that swinging golfball seem easy! What great fun. The Diana 54 is a beast! And now I have the "Chopper" to compete with as well. Did you ever walk down and see what it was doing to the CO2 carts?
-
oh yea!...i had to see what kind of damage i was creating....it dented them pretty good. i nailed my first tree rat with it this evening. about the distance of the c02 cartridges but it did more damage to the squirrel than those cartridges!..hehe. you aren't going to steal the piano wire out of the wife's grand steinway are you?....that would really get her ticked at you! i'm trying to talk bob into doing a turbo-tune on the 54....then it will be a beast!....i loved your theoben but didn't want to shoot because i might have liked it and bought one...hehe! you REALLY had some nice weapons! did the 30mm scope mount i gave you work?
-
Roger:
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Yes, the mount seems fine so far. The Theoben isn't drilled for a scope stop. The mount seems to have snugged to the back of the scope rail which seems to work just fine. And I sent J W a rubber check for the wheel scope! What a deal. The Crusader seemed to be really dialed in. I don't plan on changing anything unless it breaks. When are we getting together to shoot some more? Timmy needs to hurry up with those field targets! Maybe we can drive down together and "encourage" him, now that we know his weakness for good whisky.

Ok Guys, Gene & I stayed up just a little late?? The next afternoon?? While Gene was in the shower,, I was sipping the fine blended coffee he brewed for he & I, I walked around looking at the MESS we all created. Besides the HUGE mess,, most notably were the huge dents & even HOLES in the C-o2 carts,!! Im serious, there were single hit holes in those c-o2 carts!! (I have never seen that before) Now I know because I was there,, Ya cant blame that on Jay & his big bores,, HMMMMM Im thinkin it looked alot like 17 cal. holes from "Chopper 2"?? ROGER,, it had to be you!! Ya just gotta LOVE them "Chopped" Diana 350,s!! ( I saw & heard Ya hitting them) He He!! Tim.

My CRX put a hole in one of them, but I had to keep shooting the same spot to do it, actually David and I were both nailing the same dent until it went in. Those buggers are pretty tough!

Glad ya'll liked those CO2 spinners, I left them back in April, gotta recycle.LOL

Hey Fellas, Thomas here, the guy with the little blonde marksman,...or markswoman ?!?!?!?! Really had a great time at Gene's too. Like I posted before, I'm the worst at remembering names, but we'll work on it!! Timmy, I checked out the sites you recommended, and being in the trade, I may try my hand at it too, Thanks for the tip. I liked the spinning spoons though, and Sunday I bought a couple of packs of spoons from the dollar general store. Luckily for me, we have a healthy supply of stainless tig-wire here at the shop, and hope to make Ruby,...and myself a few spinners too. Time to get those "Creative Juices" flowing!!!! Finally have an excuse to dispatch all these empty tins. Got plenty of em'!!! Thomas

Oooops, Sorry for the mix up. I should be thanking Kirby for the DIY Field Targets sites/pages. Sorry Kirby. If you bring your wifes Banana Pudding to the next shoot out, I may be forced to bring my smoker and a few Boston Butts. Bar-B-Que anyone?!?!?!?! Thomas
