...if this blurb is indicitive of how Gamo's are gonna be marketed:

I think a lot of us have suspected for some time that the inflated fps rating available with PBA ammo would soon become the "standard rating", even if it's no more accurate than a 1624 matchlock blunderbuss firing pebbles and brass buttons.

They want $200 for that ?

HA! That's funny.

Guess we just have to assume that Gamo will rate all air guns with PBA pellets. It is a shame that Gamo has to use pellets that probably 90% of the avid airgunners won't use...:)

It is not the fps that counts when I buy an air rifle these days. Most of us have the same air rifles Gamo is pushing to sell now. It is just they have added more plastic and lighter pellets..

Last i looked, they had two ratings...the high one from thier Raptor pellets (and in some cases, there was a sample of those contained in teh box) and a second rating for lead pellets.

But they aren't really lieing...if you were to fine 10 shots, proably one or two of those shots from a new out-of-the-box gun would go as fast as they calim.

I did find a CO2 rifle that would actually shot the raptor pellets well enough to be useful...so far, none of the powerful spring airs have, although a couple of low powered ones didn't seem to mind them.
