I have a TF79T on HPA in .177. It been pretty heavily modified.
- delrin valve stem from Mountain Air, I cut a ridge into it to hold the return spring and keep it straight.
- valve has been cleared out of all but the stem and the return spring.
- Bolt has been bobbed and probed
- Transfer port replaced with ice maker tubing for improved flow
- inside of the tubes were polished up to about 1000 grit then bolt was molyed up to slide smooth
- trigger polished, molyed and adjusted
- added 1" of hardwood to each end of the stock to make it fit an adult human, then coated with bedliner.
- added custom aluminum muzzle brake with target crown from Airgun Toys
- added regulated 3000psi HPA bottle, shimmed regulator to up pressure a bit. Some scratches on reg from dissassembly.
- ground away some un-needed weight from the hammer to help reduce bounce and improve shot count
I have the original target sights for this gun and they will go with it, but no scope or mounts.
It's a decent shooter, and really likes a diet of JSB Exacts. With the stock hammer spring it will launch them out in the high 800's, I have a lighter hammer spring in it right now for a little less noise and better shot count. On a regulated gun such as this you can shoot all of the way down to about 1000psi without any shift in POI or FPS. I have shot this gun for a count of around 80 shots before I lost count and it still was shooting the same consistant string. This gun is a modders dream and it is fun to just pump up and shoot for an hour or so with very little refilling involved. Here's some pics:

Here's what I'm looking for.... Maybe an RWS 850, or a clean R7...I know, two totally different animals, but those are what I have in my minds eye at the moment. Also always looking for any PCP trades. Prefer .177 guns, but .22 would be ok for the right trade. Also, would rather make a good trade, but if cash is available and you're willing to use PayPal I would probably let the TF79T for $260 shipped in CONUS. So let me know whatcha got email danieljnelson (AT) sbcglobal (dot) net . I answer emails in order, and will deal first come first serve, wont move to the next email till I've answered the previous ones. "I'll take it" will not work for me, too hard to determine who emailed first and who said they'd take it first...especially with a trade. I'm on the BOI and the buyers/sellers forum on here. Thanks,

Hi Dan,
Few questions if I may:
#1 - What speed is the lighter spring giving you?
#2 - How does the bottle attach?
#3 - How are you charging the bottle with HPA?
#4 - What mounts are in the picture (and is that a Centerpoint scope)?
#5 - Do you have a sample target or what kind of groups does it shoot?
Thanks for the answers.

Hey Bob!
Sorry to not answer this sooner, I've been out of town on business a bunch recently and just got back into town around midnight last night...then up early for work this morning...ouch!
#1 - What speed is the lighter spring giving you?
Haven't chronied it recently, plan to chrony it this weekend or possibly tomorrow if I get home wfrom work while it's still light out.
#2 - How does the bottle attach?
The bottle attaches to the regulator and the regulator screws into the gun...same as a paintball tank would be installed on this model.
#3 - How are you charging the bottle with HPA?
High pressure hand pump, just like my PCP's. There's a male Foster connection on the regulator for filling.
#4 - What mounts are in the picture (and is that a Centerpoint scope)?
I think they are Accushot mounts and the scope is an old Airgun Express dot com 3x9x44AO. Scope and mount are not included in this sale.
#5 - Do you have a sample target or what kind of groups does it shoot?
The groups are good, but not great. I can shoot a dime all day long at 15 yards or so, but rarely do I see a true "one hole" group, more like a sub dime cloverleaf. It's pellet fussy also, really likes JSB 4.50's.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the two posts. I just got back from a four day church camping trip and had no email while I was in the mountains. Will put some thought to your posts tomorrow.

No problem,
I'll be leaving tomorrow a.m. on business and wont be back until next weekend. I also plan on tweaking it a little more when I get back. I'd like to see slightly more power and a slightly tighter extreme spread and std deviation. I had a slightly tighter spread before I did the latest round of mods and I'd like to get that back. I think I can gain some consistancy while also increasing power a bit...we shall see.

I am still looking for a nice mid/low powered springer to trade for my TF79T. Something along the lines of an R7 would be swell, but am open to others. Also have a couple other items I could offer up for the right gun. Anyone have anything they're bored with?
-
hey i was wondering if you still have the gun. you can email me ryedmir@gmail.com. if you have any pics of shot groupings that would be cool. thanks
-

Thanks Lee, PM sent. Hope to talk to you soon.

Still for sale. If someone was wanting to run it on CO2 I could drop the cost a bit and supply a Air Source to PB adapter in place of the HPA bottle.
