: My big screwup

:emoticon:   I just got a Gamo Whisper Deluxe with the air venturi gas spring, and went to install the GRT III trigger. I wasn't paying attention to the great instructions and removed the wrong pin (the one that goes thru the safety spring.  I realized my mistake and replaced the pin  and installed the new trigger, but it won't cock.  I then took a close look and found a spring that appears loose.  It is a long U shaped spring at the top of the trigger assembly that probably came loose when I took out the wrong pin.  I don't have a trigger schematic so I don't know how it attaches.  Can anyone help?  I feel really stupid because Charliedatuna included excellent instructions with the trigger.

I had a similar almost exact problem a year ago. Check the instructions and disassemble the gun again and reassemble. As I recall there is a picture of how the rod (for lack of a better word) should center on the trigger. On mine even though it looked centered it was not. This may be an issue with whispers and not other gamo rifles. AS I further recall it took two additional attempts to get it aligned so that the gun would cock. I don't know about the spring that you mention is loose or is it unattached.
