I purchased my CFX combo in March and the little 4X GAMO scope that came in the package only lasted about 2 weeks before it croaked. Frankly, most of these combo packages have "sucky" scopes, but the store I was at only had the CFX in a combo package so I bought it. What the scope did was, it wouldn't hold windage. and there was something rattling around inside. After contacting Gamo I learned that this was apparently a BSA manufactured scope with a lifetime warranty. I really wanted more scope anyway and purchased a BSA 4-12 x 44 scope from Natchez Shooter supply that I mounted on my CFX. BSA said they would repair/replace the little 4X scope if I would return it along with a check for $10 to cover shipping etc. After thinking about it for a few weeks, I decided that I had a couple of low power Chinese airguns and a 22 I could use it on so I sent it in along with my $10. After all, even though it wasn't the worlds best scope, I wasn't going to do much better on a scope for $10. Well, I was pleasntly surprised that within 1 week BSA had sent me a new scope. It seems to be a little better scope than the original. At leat, it can be adjusted with fingers only. I mounted it on my new Fast Deer over the weekend and it seems to be working fine. I think it will do better there than on my CFX anyway.
I am happy to report that BSA Optics made good on my scope in a timely manner which makes me more likely to do business with them in the future. I know that a lot of you out there have had trouble with your combo scopes and I wanted to report that BSA made good on mine. By mounting my replacement scope on a gun with a little less vibration, it may have a longer life span.

It is always nice when manufacturers honor warranties even though you have to pay shipping.

Fishy, I have 4 Gamos, all purchased with scopes, no choice. They all wound up in the junk drawer, along with the laser and flashlight thingy!! I don't know why they even bothermaking up 'packages'. What a waste. Still love the guns though, after a CDT tune and GRT, of course!!! Enjoy and keep us posted on how new scope holds up bro!!
