Today was a fairly productive pest control day. This last week the QB-57 has been whacking grackles and English Barney-eyed sparrows with regularity at the usual 14-30 yds.
I don't know why the EBS's have been up in the cotton wood trees so much this year particularly but I like it!
Anyway, today I greased a nasty ole grack at 34 yds early in the day with an RWS Super-HP and then later in the afternoon I reached out and touched one in the neck(accidently)at 43.5 yds with same pellet. He was in tall grass and all I could see was his head, neck, and very upper chest.
So I used the back of my Bronco as a rest and got off a nice smooth trigger press-POP!
He fell over so fast I thought he ducked into some trees so I had to go verify the body. There it was right where I hit him. I could hardly believe it.

Hey Troy,,,, that's some mighty good shootin with the 57 !
Just goes to show what you can do with an inexpensive chinese shooter ;)
Reading your post made me realize I haven't had my 57's out shootin for a while,,,,, I think I'll break em outa the gun safe and let em stretch their springs :)
Good shootin on those birds buddy :)

That's great shooting ......especially when the grackle was behind grass and 44 yards away.
