at Cabela's Bargain Cave. They still have their refurbed 220's listed on the as well, but I find it strange those are 119.99.

New here and first post. I just recieved one of the Cabelas 'refurbished Gamo 220s. To be honest I was surprised this gun appears new, was in a new gun box, wrapped as new, all the paperwork, new gun oil, never been taken apart, not a mark on it anywhere. I did notice that the date of manufacture was 2005 and now I am wondering if 'refurbished' actually means old store stock that didn't move. The gun shoots excellent and I am now waiting on one of Charlie da Tunas triggers.
With the special discount I had coming from Cabelas mine was $90 to my door.

Welcome Steve! I've never purchased a refurb from Cabelas, but I'm sure you'll love your 220 and even more after installing the new trigger. I had a 440 and it was one of my most accurate out of box shooters I had. From what I understand, the 440 and 220 share an identical powerplant. Have fun and post often!

You'll probably see a little punch mark. That's what denotes the refurb Gamo's.
Yes, they can be very good. They can also be missing parts or have bent barrels - I've had 'em both ways. Sounds like you got a better one.
