Finally last Tuesdaymy boss is back from knee surgery after a month and a half....The stress of running the busiest meat market in the district made me not even want to post or shoot...work ..sleep....work....sleep.....AHHHHAGGGGGGGGGGGAGAHHHH !!!!!!! Im a free man now and over the last three days theseed stealing Tree weasles are falling like leaves....

Fantastic shootin Brent, nothing like playing catchup on the varment's hehehe. Great pic's and I like coat of color's on your baby too and looking at your first pic she blend's well with Ma Nature. Thank's for sharing and again great shootin. Ed

It's been nice to get back to my gal and get her some new clothes!!!! The paint job is the work of my 10 year old daughter who had a ball painting daddys gun....I rolled on the base green with a broken up sponge roller to create a irregular pattern then let her have at it with brush and yellow paint...Just dip and start slinging !!!! The supervisor(me),doorframe,walls and floor also got the same treatment....lol...I completed the paint job last night on the scope and muzzlebreak and flatblacked the action.....Ive been reading back through yya'lls hunts and dangHarry has no mercy on them G-Hogs ....Ed.Jeff everyone else be safeand keep them stories coming!!!!

I really like the camo job on your CFX! It really gives it a custom look. I also find the mounting of the bipod just in front of the trigger guard interesting; I have a CFX and I hadn't thought of that.

Brent, your daughter is very talented. It came out very well. Good shot placement on that nutter too.
BTW, I was watching another young adult g-hog (a little below average sized) today at ~35ds out, which is a little out of my Diana 36 range (for g-hogs anyway), when all of a sudden he just turned and walked straigt towards the house closing the gap to 25yds munching on some new grass and clovers behind my shed, thus giving me an extra couple of ft-lbs more incentive :)
I watched him a little more debating whether I should attempt opening the window and let him have it (sometimes they run when I open the window depending how slow or fast I do it or make noise, so it's not always a sure thing). After ~5min. I decided to give him another chance and take him when he gets a little bigger :-) That took a lot of self-control, believe me!! :-)
No sooner had I decided the fate of this g-hog, he just walks back to the trees and down his burrow. He 's a smart one. He only comes out and feeds for about 10-15min. and goes back down. Most others will stay and feed mercilessly non-stop for 30-40min. as long as they think noone is around and are not in any danger. This little fella 3-4 times now I observed him in the last ~10 days and it was the same routine. 10-12min. and he 'd be gone. First time I looked around to see if something scared him, but now I know his strategy which is "the less you stay up there, the longer you live.." :-)
