Thanks to J and BGMF manufacturing I was able to air the 201'S and test fire some different bullets thought it today. All the averages were with a 2700 PSI fill and a 5 shot count . All the bullets were .385 - .359  .125 gr. R.N. averaged 708 ,148 gr DEW averaged 670 , 158 gr  RN  averaged 647 , 158 gr SW averaged 667 , and 148 gr BNW averaged  691. I sighted the scope in while doing this and I don't know if I finally started to get use to the trigger or what but the 148 gr BNW stacked all 5 shoots on top of each others at 25 yards . I lubed the trigger assemble and checked the surfaces and left the sear engagement alone . I don't like to chance that engagement with that much hammer spring pressure . I put a e-z pull trigger devise on it . It makes for a light pull but it is a very long pull as well that will take some getting use to . I hope Monday to be able to try some 50 yard target practice with it . By the way I hand pumped the rifle for all this as well. It should keep me healthy . Marvin

Sweet. How was it pumping all the way from zero?  How do you go about ordering the QD fitting from BGMF? What is the e-z pull trigger device? How do you gain access to the trigger group to lube it? Too bad my Sam Yang 909 didn't come with teardown instructions.

It takes a while to pump up so take your time. I have yet to see a owners manual other than what's on the web . Here is the web page for the fitting .  http://www.bgmfairguns.com/index.html This is the site for the trigger pull although  I bought mine from Cabelas and it will mare the trigger guard and it is not a 5 minute installment. More like a 30 minute flustation period. http://ezpulltriggerassist.com/  If the trigger is the same as mine all you do is remove the forearm . Then you will see a screw in front of the trigger assembly that you remove and the it all lifts out in a forward toward the muzzle up action. J would probable know if they are the same or not . I don't think that will happen not to say the rifles are not worth it but I just cant afford them . Iam the Chevy man not the caddy man if you know what I mean . Have you any in site on BGMF Gargoyle rifles for about a grand that he has on his sight . Marvin

Business constraints have been the 'hold up' buta new machine should allow for the BGMF custom (http://www.bgmfairguns.com/gargoyle.html) to progress in the near future. Definately nice bbguns being built out in Wichita . . . (http://../images/emoticons/wink.gif)

Yeah, I'd like to have a Gargoyle, a Dragon Slayer, a 201, and a couple of Quackenbush lead flingers, but I'm a working stiff. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get a Career 9mm OR a Dragon slayer.
I'd like to make a 28 gauge barrel for the Dragon slayer, and make my own shotcups for it. I bet that would be a sweet air shotgun. Maybe I should make a .410 barrel for my 909.
Or maybe even a 20 gauge, steel shot, barrel for a Dragon Slayer, along with some power mods. Steel shot because it's lighter than lead shot and will achieve higher initial velocities, and it's going to be a shorter range weapon than a centerfire shotgun, so downrange velocity loss wouldn't be an issue. Now there's an idea. Use shortened 20 gauge shot cups and launch about 1/2 as many pellets as a 20 gauge powder burner. Awww, demmit! Now I gotta sell some things, and save up for a Dragon slayer so I can build one.

I've thought about using plastic .45 cal sabots,(for muzzleloaders) with my 909, to enable me to shoot .357 bullets from it. Seems a Lyman 124 grain Devastator hollowpoint cast from dead-soft lead would be pretty, um, devastating.

Or maybe the Barnes Expander MZ muzzle loading sabots with the .40 cal copper bullet. I could use a center drill in the lathe to drill off that tapered nose, to give it a cup pointed, full wadcutting hollowpoint profile. That would reduce weight for higher velocity. I could also drill it all the way through, like the old PMC Ultra Mag cookie cutter bullets.It won't expand, but it will cut out a clean plug of tissue, causing rapid bleed out due to the wound's inability to close up. It would have terrific penetration due to the cookie cutter design. You could tear up the deer and hogs with that one. Great blood trail, quick, humane kills, very little meat damage.
