Got the.22 cal Mendoza off via Fed-Ex this morning, and everything in the return process went smoothly. Hate it, but had to do it. Now I'm debating what to replace it with. I've looked at the Diana 34's with the wood stock ( don't care for synthetics too much) but it's only offered with a right-handed cheek pad for around $40 more. Another is the RWS 350 Feuerkraft, which has the ambidextrious stock, only $208 more,...ouch. The Beemans/Weihrauch's are super nice looking and excellent in quality from the reviews I've read, but on my budget, not very close to being considered. I do want one that CDT can/will work on too. Been down the China road, but would rather stick to the European/European influenced brands. I suppose the ultimate decision will depend on a rifle that wll last for years, that I can pass down to my daughter when my number comes up. Wonder if the stocks are replaceable on these two models?!?!?! Anyone have a suggestion.
I did have a few offerers to buy a rifle through this site. Many thanks to those that made an offer to me. But the way I see it, I'd rather get a new one and if it goes south, I'll have only myself to blame, and totally eliminate the notion of getting a dud from a fellow member. Not that I think that would happen at all (wouldn't even want to think of it happenning!!!!!!), but the guarentee of it occuring would be non-exsistant. Happy Shooting, tjk

TJ, best way to stay friendly is NO business!!!! You're so much better off with a new one anyway!!! Take your time, you'll do the right thing. Good luck and keep us posted!! Did you see that thread about Umarex having some demo rifles available?? I asked the dude for contact info, it's there. Some really nice deals!!

I caught that thread and did check it out. But since PA already has $162 of my money, might as well add to it and avoid all the refund/reimbursment hassles. Maybe I'll check them out for another .22 cal later on. Got three .17's, selling the Gamo, and then get maybe a 20 yarder .22 (medium powered for urban use). Then I'll have two in each caliber, two for long range and two for short range applications!!!! I want the long range .22 now so I can prepare it for the up coming hunting season!!!!! Thanks for the thread!!! tjk
