: PELLETS!
: pedroeguiguren July 20, 2008, 02:14:28 PM
Hi there
Im ordering a brand new GAMO Whisper .177 cal I heard from my shooting teacher that different pellets fit differently on the barrel depending on the head ratio and the tail ratio of the pellet. Now I want to know what pellets will fit better in my whisper? I know that each air rifle is UNIQUE and that it depends. But it most be a certain pattern of some pellets that shoot best in this rifle, if anyone knows please!
I want pelllets for hunting at long and close distance and for plinking. somebody tell me what pelets according to the ratio and all that stuff will shoot best as I am ordering 4 pellets tins at once because where I live I canot get them.
some help from owners or anybody else please!

Pedro

Hey Pedro,
I've been shooting the Crosman .177 Premier Hollow Point.  Pretty accurate and reasonably priced.  I'm normally shooting about 15-30 yards and haven't missed a critter yet.

Make sure you order the GRT-III trigger!

Looking forward to hearing from other Whisper owners.

Matt

Hi Pedro,

straightshooters has a really good pellet sampler pack for sale.  Would give you the opportunity to try numerous pellets and find the one or two pellets that shoot best in your rifle.   Here's the link.....

Hope this helps ya out......

Hey!

Gamo Hunters, along with Walmart-bought Crosman Premier Hollow Points are what I use in my Gamo. Also Gamo Match for paper-punching. The Gamo pellets, though not the best in the whole world, are reasonably priced, and pretty damn accurate.

 Have a good one,

Hey Matt
Thanks. I forgot to mention, of course Im sendng it to Bob for a turbo tune with that good looking gold trigger! :) I just need to know about the correct pellets from whisper owners! As I mentioned I cant afford the luxury of buying lots of samples to figure out what shoots best because Its extremely hard to bring pellets to my country... but! I have 1 clear shot to bring everything in 1 pacage. I dont know when will I get this chance again so I whant to bring only what serves me well and lots of it!
: RE: PELLETS! what about this pellets??

I just saw the hyper velocity type 3 long range pellets! In the pellet world I know that it was like looking an ALIEN! Has anybody tried theese pellets? what about them? or any of their kind?

havent heard of those, but I will put in one more vote for the crosman premier hollow points. the CPHP are the ONLY thing my whisper will group.

I will say though, after having a tune your rifle may change to like something else.

crosman preimer hollow points are a good place to start. they are cheap and plentiful.

Pedro, my Turbo Tuned Whisper Deluxe does best with RWS Superdomes 8.3 gr, Crossman Premier Lites 7.9 gr, and Gamo Tomahawks. Good Luck!!

The only ones I found that don't the Gamo's breech are Cabelas, my favorites are RWS sampler pack (all shoot well and all fit the breech really well) and Predators.

Update, I tried the SuperPoints in my Tempest and P1 and they both were fine, I guess the old adage is true, different pellets fit different guns and your mileage may vary.
