As some of you know I have a collection of skull's from hunt's etc. I like to study em which help's in putting that shot in the prime spot hehehe. Well the other day my friend and I were out scouting out hunting location's and varment activity when I spotted something off in the brush. So off I went wading through the thicket's to check it out. To my surprize I came upon a almost complete deer skeleton which is rare since the critter's will get in there and drag off section's for dinner. It's rare to even find a animal skull complete with lower jaw but I hit the gold mine so to speak, all was laying there and had been for awhile and I thought to myself, hope it wasn't a misplaced shot from a hunter that got this deer and couldn't find his kill. Anyway 95% of the cleanup work was done so I put it in my game bag and took it home. I finished up the cleanup on it, a few teeth missing and believe me I looked for them too lol and it now sit's in my Man Cave/ inside workshop/gunroom.:) Ed

Very nice find my friend  !!  I've found plenty of animal skeletons over the years during my scouting sessions but to find one in that good shape is indeed rare.  Like you said,,, most times they are scattered all over or missing large portions of the remain.  Nice find buddy   :)

Ever seen The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Just sayin'...

A live chicken crammed into a parakeet cage might be a nice fashion touch too!

Just outta curiosity, have you or anyone else here ever done pellet penetration tests on a skull? I think it would be fascinating to see how it would turn out.No, I wouldnt personally say 'Hey ,I just shot through a cow skull!!Lets go get a cow!!' I just would like to know what some airguns are capable of.

Thank's Brent and Vinny I have and still do penetration test on skull's including cow, goat and other critter's. My last test was on a cow skull at 25yrd's with Predator's, Rocket's, Tomahawks and CPHP's. The Predator's, Rocket's and Tomahawk's penetrated the skull. The CPHP'S did not but fractured the skull. I'm in the process of testing the destroyer's and I think I will get good result's. Ed

Thats pretty neat.I met a lady the other day that has cows, pigs, etc. They raise them for food. I said 'So, what are the chances of me getting a cow head'? My wife just rolled her eyes, and after an explanation, she said she would think about it.
