: Took my CFX to the range today...(PICS)
: masterdiverstx July 30, 2008, 09:39:18 AM
Hi all,

Took my CFX to the range today. I had some horrible luck zeroing the scope at the last attempt. I had excellent results with RWS Meisterkugeln pellets in the past, but the last batch that I purchased shot absolutely horrible. I did notice today that usually when i load a pellet into the breech it makes a kind of clicking sound, this batch just falls into the breech and I swear there is space between the skirt and the breech. So today I zeroed for RWS Superdomes and OMG what a difference!!! I took less than 25 shots to zero.

The final result was 5 shot sub-1/2" groups at 30 yards. I am so pleased!!!!! I was even firing at used 9mm handgun targets and placing the pellets through the exsisting holes. That was so cooooooool!!!!!!

To mention is that this rifle has not yet been tuned by CDT or Rich. I am now imagining if it was!!!!!!  Must buy more superdomes!!!!

Thanks guys! Enjoy the pics!

Outstanding! Got yourself a keeper there!

Don't forget to give yourself some of the credit, though. After all, "without me my rifle is nothing."  :)

 Have a great rest-of-the-day,

Thanks! I dont get compliments often on my airgun hobby especially from the girlfriend. She views it as a waste of money and time. Of course I beg to differ! The rifle is definately perfoming now better than I had hoped for! As mentioned definately a keeper!!

Way to go Nowel. Tuned or not it sure looks like you can shoot.Although it doesn't look like you need much help( judging from your target) the GRT111 trigger available thru CharlieDaTuna is considered by many here to be a huge improvement over the stock trigger for your CFX. It's not expensive and will take only minutes for you to install yourself.Enjoyed your post.

Now thats the way to group shots!!  I usually consider it good if I can cover my groups with my thumb man I could cover that group with my pinky!!!

Perfect indeed, especially without trigger modification, which means you can do better.

I did mod the trigger. I has a GRT-III trigger from CDT. I have not had it tuned though. Definately thinking about it!!!!
: Shooting position...

I was shooting from a sitting position with the rifle rested on a rest bag right infront the trigger guard (CFX sweet spot).
: THANKS!!!

That's what this forum is all about learning and sharing the great sport. We are not here to beat you up about your gun or shooting or doubt you can shoot. I have seen all too often on other forums people post pics or stories of targets they have shot and then the pro's come out saying that can't be done because the chairgun software said so. That is why I moved over to this forum. If people lie about there shooting they have to live with it not others. Good shooting by the way! I'd love to see her after a good tune. Keep the pics coming we love pics.

Get in touch with the Fish dude quick!! Nice shooting!! My last dive trip was to Grand Cayman, lived on the Cayman Diver for 13 days of some of the nicest diving I've ever done!!! Visited all 3 islands. What a trip!!!

Wow that's incredible shooting. If I were you.....I won't even need to send the CFX for a tune....seems to be shooting perfectly.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)
