Okay.  Believe it or not...  this is the video that broke the ice between my beautiful girlfriend and I over a year ago.  I was living in California and calling her on the phone in Texas daily.  We'd converse about her local squirrel populus and how her sons would go out with their bb guns and pick em' off out of the trees.  What follows is just about the funniest damn thing I think I've ever seen...

Enjoy!

I love that one. Too bad it requires manual release. I would love to see one for muskrats.

Hey, I'm thinking we could combine tree ratting with trap sooting!  The ultimate gun sport --  "PULL"  !!!

Honestly, I've noticed that if I watch this video at least once a day- I'm alot happier person.  It's therapeutic!

About once a year someone sends me that link, and I never get tired of seeing it.

I often wonder if the guy could have set up a camera for the landing.............

Very seriously, I have no problem whatsoever in putting a pellet in the head of a varmint doing damage to my property.  I have no problem with licensed hunters taking legal game in season.  But this is something that I would never do or condone anyone else doing.  Seems much more likely to maim than to cleanly dispatch a varmint.  And who's the lucky neighbor out back who is the recipient of the projectile?

Saw this video awhile back and have to admit I did find it amusing,,,,, in hind sight though I find myself agreeing with Tommy.   I  find myself concerned that the squirrels might become maimed or severely injured and as a result suffer a lingering death from such an injury.  I don't mean to sound like I'm passing judgment, I'm not, I just wouldn't set up such a device myself.  If the tree rats are causing damage then by all means shoot em, I do, but I wouldn't set up such a contraption.  Guess I'm just getting soft in my old age  :)

Gutsy girl. I wonder how long it takes to dampen out the oscillations. New way to bunge jump which should make it into the next Clark Griswold movie.

I agree in that I wouldn't be the proprietor of such a device- but with all due consideration of injury- you do have to admit the genius behind such a contraption.  There's another video circulating on the same concept but the other is done with a skeet launcher!

: TexasShooter72 August 05, 2008, 06:08:03 AM
Yeah...  I've seen that one too-   let's here it for a buncha bored Texans!  I think I'd heard that-that human slingshot cost like $9000 to set up!  They needed a driller to get those poles in the ground.  Gutsy girl.

I love it, And here is a quote from Rags
"If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it."
After seeing that 2 minutes later Im still giggleing so I know for sure I aint allowed to do it.

I agree with TCUPS and Jeff. Not humane ,not funny.Shoot it to eat or because it is doing damage, but that is wrong imo.
