Last night I woke up at 2:00 needing a restroom moment.. Then I went to the kitchen to get a drink of water before going back to bed.. Well since thats my hunting stand I peered out the back window just for a look see..
Thats when I saw him.. and another a little smaller, they were scrap hunting around the deck..
Keep in mind i had just woke up ta p and get a drink. So ever so quietly I tried to turn the handle on the jalousy window, they heard it. I'm going to wd-40 it today.. I keep my webly right on the shelf by the window.
RATZILLA WAS AT LEAST 20" nose to tip of tail.. and at least as big around as a hard ball, mabey a little leaner but not much. I bet he is at least 3.5 deck board long...
he ran across the deck and stood by the edge watching for me. i put the laser on him and he jumped over the edge into the darkness..
I'm going to leave them alone for a couple days. Take a nap after work friday and stay up till i see him again.
They wait till the house is all quiet and the tv's are off before the bigguns come out.. If I can get mrs quest to go ta bed early i might not have to wait so late...
Needless to say i had a hard time getting back to sleep after that..

Maybe if someone got rid of all the feral cats around here I might be able to shoot some rats. Not unusual for there to be two or three of 'em slinkin' around in the wooded area of my property. Cryin' shame, it is.
I'm probably the only person in the world to ever complain about NOT having rats. haha
