You might want to check your state laws.  In many states Turkey can only be taken with shotgun and nothing else.

Sorry I didn't mean to ruin your fun.  You have 7 acres so I doubt you have any curious neighbors that can see what you are doing up close ;)

Yep Craig,, nothin in my local DNR Regs. pertaining to airguns??  I know 2-300 Ft.Lbs. is plenty for Deer,, Think my 50 Cal. Dragon Slayer will be JUST FINE!! Turkeys?? Your talkin Federal now??  20 ft. lbs. with a well placed head shot will "Get Er Done",, did I say that out loud??He He He!!  Turkeys are REAL TOUGH Craig,, trust me!! Course,, 20 ft. lbs. just behind the eye (horizontal plane) will work. Ya need to deliver that "power" into a dime size area, if Ya get lucky you can maybe stretch that out to Quarter size.  Just my 2 cents. I have not,, nor do I know anyone that has harvested 2 Turkeys with a Diana 54. Tim.

Craig:

Yes, 20fpe will take a coyote but you better try and get as close as you can and be extremely confident of your marksman skills and know exactly where to shoot it.  There have been a couple of cases where a coyote was taken with 24fpe 350 .22's that I know of, but these guns were well tuned, thus very accurate.

If you only have 15fpe of Muzzle Energy I would not attempt to shoot a coyote.  As far as turkey goes, 15fpe should be enough at 25yds, but I 'm not so sure about 40yds.  I would not shoot a Turkey at 40yds unless I had 20ft-lbs at my disposal.  Keep in mind Turkeys have a very small brain and their head is not that big of a target to begin with.
