Hey guys, are we gonna have another GreatFUN SHOOTagain before Old Man Winter Sets In?? Would sure love to hear some input on this. We all had so much fun on the last one that we gotta have another one.
Question is WHEN AND WHERE? Any ideas? Anyone care to take charge of organizing it? Lets see some hands guys and gals...:)

Big Daddy Gene, It would be a pleasure to take part in organizing another fun shoot. Got two large Boston-Butts in the freezer, and a very well-seasoned smoker for some BBQ. I could be the catoring chairman!!!! What ever I can do, just let me know. tjk

That anything like shrimp 'n grits? I'd kill for some of that.
Actually I lived in the low country a few years back. HH, Daufuski Island, and up in Columbia. Spent a couple of years right across the line in Savannah and Tybee Island too.
And seein' as how I'm in Oklahoma, I guess I have no right, or every right, depending on how you look at it, to poke fun at y'all. We okies not only have no book learnin', but no common sense either!
Sounds fun, though.

gene, i posted something about this several weeks ago looking for a "place" and got no responses. looks like finding a place is going to be the biggest obstacle. finding a place that we can have "facilities for the women" and can shoot up to 50 yards is a little difficult. your backyard was great...is it still available?....count me in wherever we have it. i'll bring targets, crown, cigars and whatever else you need for me to do......

Ok Folks,, even before Genes post,, I have been on this. I talked with Paul last night & he is game to have it at his place in So. Ga.. I have a Friend here that has a beutifull home on 13 acres that may be game as well. Im gonna talk with him & his wife bout it tommorow. (he is my best friend & a gun NUT!!) I prommised him I would clean up afterwards,,, Lord knows,, we all left Genes place a WRECK after the last one!! :0 (Ok not all of us,, I do tend to make a mess!!) :p I would like to have it here cause I would be able to get things set up close to home. Charleston S.C. or South GA.??? Feedback???? Pogo Tim. P.S.,, not shure about Pauls place,,, but if my Buddy will let us have it at his place,,,, bring your LOUDEST PCP,s!!LOL!! 8)

As much as I enjoyed Gene's shoot, S. Ga is just too much driving at 4.00 bucks a gallon. If Gene has it at his place I'll be there.

OK then, as soon as I hear when and where, I'll burn a few vacation days, borrow a pick-up, and head south!!! Have tent, will travall, Along with the smoker, grill (if I bring the Gas Burner on a tag-a-long), Cooler, lawn chairs, etc,etc,etc.!!! tjk

I’ll try to be there no matter what location is decided on. The wife and my trusty dog Bubba are always up for a road trip in our comfy RV. I’ll make sure to bring an extra grill and hearing protection in case the big bores are active..

Southern Georgia might be feasible but if on the east coast I don't know that I'll have the dough. I'm still paying for this Weihrauch 90. I'd love to be able to take a little time off and attend. I'll bring my prized 350 Mag(poo-poo starter) with me. My Gamo's are pretty nice too! I've got a tent, a couple sleeping bags, whisperlight stove and everything needed for the road trip!

im geewhiz from nyc and i would love to attend and have fun but i have no car so i guess next year is much better for me and i dont want to intrude once you get to know me better i,ll be down for what ever cause i love traveling with good people and im sure u guys are fun to be around with.i wish i lived closer to u guys which for years its been my plan to move south.once i get my car im in.have fun guys

Looks like Im gonna be leaving Wends. for Alabama. Gonna go do some work on my Moms Mountain house. Not shure how long Im gonna stay. Had lunch with her today & she said Im welcome to host a get together fun shoot there!! :D She has a 5 acre lot with a HUGE deck overlooking a 50 acre lake!! (Big Bores would be welcome!!) 8) It would be too far for most of the S.C. Gang Im afraid,, but better for others?? Besides,,, I dont recall any rules that say we cant have TWO Fun Shoots!! :p Good idea Mike,, but,,, I was WAY ahead of Ya Buddy!!LOL!! I,ll post up some pics. when I get there!! Its in Ft. Payne Al.,, way up in the north of the state in the mountains. Just a thought..... Well,, I,ll bet Mike (Splash) will come shoot with me!! He He!! :) Tim.

Mike, you are welcome to hangten off the bumper of ol Betsy. Don’t be too worried about speed, cuz just the other day I could only get her up to 42mph heading down I-10. Not much room in the back but you’re welcome to snuggle with Bubba in the front cab. Warning though, he gets real affectionate in the middle of the night, if you know what I’m talking about. Maybe we could have an "GTA shoot"& offer in several state regions. I'm not sure how far some of us could afford to drive to. Gas is very expeinsive & doesn't look to be going down anytime soon. I wouldn't mind traveling to Alabama or Georgia but if your traveling out of state you have to have a place to stay or to park. LOL I know some could even share rides & share expenses. You know I could even stay here in SC. I know how the female tag along throws things outta wack.:0

if we're having it in s.c. in the next few weeks i need to know.....i am going to boil some peanuts for my n.y. yankee friend so he can taste some southern caviar!!!!...ha!! JOECUZ..if you can make down here, timmy and i will make sure you eat some things you've never tasted before!!!...ha!!!...timmy has 2 koons in the freezer and i have a deer hind quarter ready to smoke......hopefully i can find a good size rattler between now and then...... we are going to initiate this yankee-boy southern style!!!!!!..ha!..LOL!!!...ps...i'll some crown for you to wash it down with!!!

Come on guys and gals fix if fixing to have the shoot at his place. Paul, I’m willing to
come in a day or two early to help you setup if it’s a go. I have a 5th wheel trailer
that I’ll be pulling and will probably stay at a campground in your area. That way
others coming in will have a place to sleep.

I was hoping that someone here in S.C. would hold the Fun Shoot this fall. I had talked to Roger early on and he suggested a fall shootout and said he would help out the best he could. I am sorry that I cannot hold the event this fall but for sure next spring I should be able to hold another S.C. Fun Shoot. I hope someone could pick up the stick here and run with it. We all had such a good time at the last one, it would be a shame if we could not have another one before old man winter arrives.. We do not need that much room to shoot. Just need a place to sit and some targets and they do not have to be 60 yards out either to have fun...:) I know I would enjoy any type of shooting event. Remember it is all about having fun. Showing off our babies. Chewing the fat and meeting new members. Come on you guys here in S.C. lets figure out how and where to hold this event. Gene

pogo has gone to alabama for a few weeks. he has a friend in the low country with some property but timmy needs to get back to secure it for us.....guess we'll have to wait and see if pogo kangaroo timmy can come through for us....

J & I have been talking about a fall fun shoot. We held one last year at him mom's place. I felt that some were not happy with how it was organised. J has 5 acers, with trails & some cleared areas. We would like to be able to host but we would need some help & some ideas on what ya'll would like to do. I have my own ideas but I have only been to a few shoots. The few shoots I have been to weren't as good as the one at Genes or even at J' moms.
1) Kids fun shoot
2) different targets on trails
3) Bench shooting
What do ya'll think & what kind of ideas do ya'll have?

Sherry, I would just like to get together with everyone and shoot, chew the fat and watch J fire off dim BIG BORES...) Different targets would be cool. I could bring a few of my home made ones. I could bring sodas and other goodies. The shootouts are just fantastic. I enjoy them immensely.

glad you brought this post back to life martin.....things kinda fell apart trying to find a place to have it. its kinda of hard to find a place where you can have 50 people shooting lead all day and having facilities for the ladies to use....but if we start planning now we may be able to find something by spring. any of you guy around here got any ideas?
