I would be interested in knowing too.  I live in Long Beach,  but am having problems finding a place to shoot that is not a 2 hour drive.

Same here. I will be getting my RWS Panther next week and need a place to sight it in. I live in the Rancho Santa Margarita (Mission Viejo) area.

Still Shooting here. I am lucky in that I'm close to the Angeles Shooting Ranges. There are 4 different ranges

Angeles Shooting Range ~ The main range. $12.00 dollars a day. The range has sections for practically anything. Have a good set of ear protection (ie can style earmuffs) as the guy shooting next to you may have something really big and loud. I was practicing with my 22 rimfires and had a gentleman show up with a S&W 44 Magnum. Time to reach for the earmuffs.

Los Angeles Silhouette Club ~ Only open for competitions as of now.

Shadetree Shooters - Airgun Silhouette Club ~ These are the folks the host airgun silhouette at Los Angeles Silhouette Club I started shooting Air pistol silhouette recently. Very nice group of shooters. Friendly and helpful. Meets are the third Saturday of the month.

Moore N Moore Cporting Clays ~ If you are into shotguns and flying clay birds this is the place. Expensive but worth it for the experiance. Warning could be addictive.

Hey Jim, if you had the chance you could probably go up to Forest falls/Big Bear. I hear that they have something along the lines for air gunners. I am really thinking of camping up there this winter, it sounds like fun =] Probably head down the lake or something....be as far away from town as possible is better I always say. Hehe, oh yeah pertaining to the subject....there are two shooting ranges near me that are literally on the same street, like 4 minutes from my place. But I heard they laugh at air rifler's..

I have offered to have people come over to my place in El Cajon to shoot if they wanted to get together, I even hosted a meet and great BBQ which I would like to do again.

Still working on my new "personal range"- the newhome in Valley Center. Looks like I won't be moving until next Friday (painters and such in the meantime). In the meantime I am all about packing and related stuff- no shooting time for daveshoot in the short haul.

One of my first to-dos will be to meet the neighbors, and gently introduce the idea that there will be things that kinda look like guns... no idea what to expect, but might as well be up front. There are about 5 or 6 homes in the vicinity, one very close. I do hope this isn't going to be a problem for them.

I have a newitem showing up shortly, that might be kinda noisy... (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-surprised.gif)

I've also been looking for places to shoot close to Long Beach so if you find any, let me know.
