My latest Creation
She started life as a QB79
(http://qbmags.com/qb79mod.jpg)
Features
Custom 8 shot repeating riser breech steel
Modified Ar2078 stock with bedliner coating
Custom Aluminum adjustable stock extensions and accents
RFM valve
SHoots 14.3 JSB's at 860 f/s
13 Ci tank with reg set at 1100 PSI
The stock was modified to accept the tank, sanded and then covered with Dupli color truckbed liner spray.
3 coats in this case. So far i have not rebarreled as it is capable of .375" groups at 35 yds. Fairly consistent sub .5" groups at that range. I get 7 to 8 magazines per tank with a 15 f/s change in MV over those shots.
She's a bit heavy but I hit everything I aim at and I like it. The bedliner texture feels great So far JSBs are the way to go. 3 Starlings were dispatched on her first day out. I think I found my new goto

thats one awsome converson i have 2 qb78ds .22 and its mmtuned doing about 700 plusbutwith tko muzzul brakes thats perfect did you here what!! i would love to convert my like that ,your is shootin 56 to 64 shots per tank thats good especialy for hunting plus the fact that its a reapeater is excellent.it might be heavy as long that the weight is being distrubuted all overit will be ok . i really admire your choice of creation i just got into qbs and they r amazing accurate and powerful for being co2 but yours is something i would definitely be interested in.not to be in your bussiness about how much will converting two come out to and who does it like the one u have ,i could imgine but converting one at least will be enough .nice work buddy enjoy your improved girl with that fine dress she got on ..................jorge

Hi Jorge,
Thanks for your kind words.
She is accurate as well as quiet. On the next one I may try a match barrel. On my .177 QB's I have Lothar barrels and they are both outstanding. I have not tried a match barrel in .22 yet
I did everything on this one but the valve.I'd do another if the price is right. If you are interested in 1 or 2 send me an email
Thanks

An archer airguns oversized bolt would be sweet on that one. Excuse my ignorance, but what is an RFM valve?

He is a tuner
Located in michigan
His first name is Rich.
For whatever reason I am not able to print that separately. It gets filtered

Sweet, now, where did you get the repeater breech, and is it available in a left handed version.

I make them....
Got about 36 of them in the works now in repeating and non repeating verisions.
Email me and I can make you a left hand version if you get me before I mill the remaining bolt slots.
Thanks

i know this is an old thread,...but just how much does the "tactical qb" weigh ?
-
About 9 pounds. I use it mostly on the bench but take it out from time to time. Still hits hard at 100yds With JSB 18.1g
Shoots these at about 25 ft lbs

Is the front hole on the bottom of the gun where the fill port is for the HPA tank? I was thinking about doing the same kind of project down the road - QB79 action into the longer 2078 stock so that the tank could ride inside there like a poor man's Rapid. If you could get the regulator positioned just so that would be neat to be able to fill there.
Also, with your riser breech are you able to do a full shroud or does it lack the clearance. I saw an amazing looking custom job here:
4th gun down - http://www.kermitairgunclub.com/qb78contest/entries/
...but it looks like he has a custom tank block that drops the tank even further down to give clearance.
In any case, great looking rifle!

Hi Casey,
Thanks
The hole in the bottom allows me to see the gauge. The fill nipple comes out the other side of the stock.
As far as the shroud diameter a 1" shroud is pretty close depending on the HPA tank alignment. We have a spacer that give you another .125" clearance
