Haven't seen it but assume it is some sort of lube that you put in the transfer port of your springer air rifle.  Will most likely cause the gun to denonate and ruin your seals and possible cuase other damage from its use.  Would definately steer clear of this one.  Think "Shamwow!".

For sure Dano is on the money here. Anything to use in the barrel or transfer port is definetly a no no. No matter what the claimof fame is. Just my two cents.

It may be some sort of Snake Oil or a Myth.  As stated, I have not seen the stuff but it seems questionable.  Always somebody tinkering with material that could cause more problems than it solves.

I don't want to find it to use, just want to know if it exist, and of what it may be composed .  I believe it is Petro Boost , an actual name of the product.

If it does exist this may an opportunity to inform air gun users of its possible dangers.

See the link in my other post about dieseling, as others have mentioned pretty much any petro-based light weight lube that finds it's way into the compression chamber can result in dieseling. Some guns all but rely on it to produce advertised power and velocity but others can be severely damaged in the process ... as previously mentioned by other posters.

Power increase of any sorts using any type of additive is a "no win" situation in my experience. Yes Dieselling will help provide more power and speed with springers,...but surpass that to the next level,...and you WILL have Detonation!!! Which is a bad thing!!!!! If you want a burnt seal, a busted spring, and a loud bang,...go ahead and try this 'snake oil' stuff,...but after a few shots your weapon will be ruinned. Why rifle manufacturers,...and 'preditory snake oil salesmen' want to market super high velocities and power, or 'enhancements'  with regards to springers is beyond me. Let's face the facts,...springers are limited to what they can shoot,....not too light,...and not too heavy,...with super mags being an exception to the rule concernning heavy pellets,...but any normal weight pellet (say 7.65 to 8.8 grains) will lose stability in flight when hitting the upper 900 fps range. These weight pellets are just not designned to go that fast!!!!! With this in mind,...no shooter will ever have any consistant accuracy! There's a double negative whammy for ya!!!! Like I said,...a "no win" situation!! Got a Gamo,Crosman, what ever, shooting in the mid 800's to low 900's in .177 cal, and you should be tickle pink. With your normal mid-powered springer (.177 cal /1000 fps rated rifles) remember this,...high speed kills the following,...accuracy, consistancy,...and alot of missed varment and prey. Just my 2 cents, tjk

Thanks Gentlemen for your input.

I think this stuff is coming out of a former soviet bloc country.  Heard it is even being used in some form to cause explosive impact with HP pellets.

What perked my ears up was rumor of it now being  in Texas.

Hey Bogey:

I think Timmy actually has a video of some poor, dumb guy (Bhawana, I think) that did something like that to a BB gun he was shooting this weekend.  It might be instructive.  PM Timmy and ask him to post the video.

FWIW, I agree, the link was merely provided for reference and definitions.

I saw a recent post in another forum about a guy affixing pistol primers to some pellets for an explosive effect, really nothing more than a meaningless flash though.

Dieseling has been around as long as there have been springers, even if only by accident.
