Your welcome guys. you guys were getting to good, so i thought i might try and challenge you slightly. If i can get my open sights to work, then i will be able to shoot this match. Unfortunately i dont think i will be able to shoot this first one. Soon though i am going to buy that RWS 45 that was on classifieds, and i can use it in the matches. I asked him if he would wait to sell it till i got the money, and he said sure. what a nice guy. i cant wait to get it.

Congratulations on the rws45, I know you will just love it:)  I really like the idea of an open sight match,  my kids and I use open sights alot:)  Problem with me is I cannot see as well as I used to!..Just a thought and due to my bad eyes, but is there a way to edit and make same rings with more black?  Tony.

WOW! Did I do this right?? I down loaded and printed the target and it's so small I can hardly see it at 25 yards. I can ding a Copenhagen lid every time at 25, but only because I can SEE it!

I love to try it but not If I can't see it.

Brody - I don't have a rifle with open sights BUT I love your sig. Going to use that as the tag line on every response to my ex-wifes emails from now on!!!!!!!!

I just printed out a copy of this target sheet.....and man, those bulls are small.....don't think I'll be able to see them at 25 yards.  And I just measured the size of the bulls....they're the same size as the ones in the "Steriod 15" target sheet......25mm outer bull diameter.

I'll shoot a sheet at 25 yards tomorrow to see how I do (I know I'll do badly  heh heh) with open sights.

Tried shooting at this target sheet at 25 yards with open sights today.  Good luck to any members going to shoot this match.  For me.....I can't see the VERY VERY SMALL bulls with just open sights.  If they were a solid black bull....like the Steriod 15 bulls....it might be better but most likely I'll still miss them completely....but at least I'll be able to see the dots.  heh heh

is a 1 inch bull big enough for ya?

The second target sheet is alot better.....at least I`ll be able to see the bulls.....pretty sure I won`t hit them though at 25 yards (Will give it a go later in the week)....much later.....the news just announced rain for 3 straight days.  To be that steady for a 25 Yd shot....at least for me.....I`ll need to sit on the ground cross legged and prop my elbows on my knees.

I tried this target today with the only gun I got, other than a pumper, with open sights, the B-3, and managed to keep them within the 3" circle off hand standing at 25 yards. I can see it!!!! If I gently lean on my patio pole I can do much better(2" circle with occasional bull.) I will try it sitting in field target position. Scratch prone, I hate that position. Looks like a fun no bench open sight match to me with this target. I say the only gun I got, but the fact is the Baikal 512 in .22 and the Daisy 1000 in .177 still suck at 25 yards no matter how I hold them.

Are peep sights allowed?? If so I believe the Anschutz will kick butt.

So long as its open sights no magnification. I guess that means you could use a red dot, so long as theres no magnification. Cant wait to get my rear sight for my Storm.

Bill , Below is a quote from a post I did a few days back it is a FUN target for those of us with more experienced eyes :)  Maybe this would be a contender for the open sights group? Tony.

Hay Fellow Shooters,

Select a target that you feel will be fun to shoot ! As long as it is not tooooo easy, and can be scored.

If the larger B-2 Target can be seen easily seen at 25 yards, please use it.

Thanks All,

Bill

I saw use the B-2 target, and shoot 10 shots. Lets not post any scores this week, since this week was kind of trial and error. Lets wait until Monday 6/1 and start Open Sight Match #2. I can make the thread, and post the target link to Air Gun Medium Range Target B-2, and post the rules. As well as ho to score, which everyone should know now. Hopefully i have my rear sight by then, and can shoot this one. So what do you say?

My new Crosman 1077 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I will see how it does in this match.  I like shooting with open sights and this should be a fun event.  Thanks for coming up with this idea.
