bare with me for asking so many questions as i DO NOT plan on purchasing the WRONG thing 3 times before i get it right. i see all these "paintball" fill adapters on the internet for $20 to $40 which is much cheaper than the one pyramydair has. are they just as good or inferia quality?. they say they are rated for 3000 psi. what if i have a tank that is 3300 psi? please advise as i only want to make a one-time purchase.

they will work if you only fill your gun to 3000psi.

if rated to 3000psi..an extra few 100 psi won't cause it to fail.....
For a 3000psi service rateing.. it "SHOULD" .. have a 9000psi failer rateing...3:1
but if its chinese ..who knows....

I bought my paint ball yoke adapter off the internet and it works fine filling my Disco. Don't forget to buy an extention hose too.
We all know they are copied designs. I seriously doubt that they're alltested by the copier.
The only thing done is copy and paste the specs from the original.
So, if the one you buy says 3000 PSI...don't worry...just change the tag to 3500 PSI and you're OK.
Besides, the gauge goes up to 5000 PSI so it should be good right... (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)
Seriously...It's just an aluminum or steel block with a couple of holes,screws, ando-rings. I think it would be blatantly obvious if it were inferior,
butyou can't tell that until you get it... since they copy the photo too!
If it has a 3000 PSI working pressure, the failure pressure is up around 5000 PSIand a few 100 PSI won't make a difference short or long term.
If there were problems with any of them, people would be posting flames like crazy.
To get something 100% tested by a reliable US manufacturer will cost you $$$, and that's only because they will be around to be sued.

i bit the bullet and bought this one. it is rated to 6500psi with a glycerin dial.

I bought a cheap one and replaced the "worthless" gauge with a bigger one. Now it is usable.

oh hell no!.....if i'm gonna pay money for something its gonna be the best bang for the buck. i don't like buying something only to replace it 2 months later with something better. thanx to all that had input on this. i ordered a 100cf scuba tank rated at 3300psi to go along with this. according to airhog's cylinder fill page, i should get about 125 fills on the discovery. that should be enough for my granddaughter to figure out if she likes shooting or not.

Do you find the gauge on you gun reads the same as the big one you put on the yoke?
I'm curious as to the accuracy of the gauge on my disco.
I guess I wouldn't be curious if I bought that liquid filled gauge would I... :)

Out of the three Discos I have had 2 were spot on with the gauge. One seems to be about 250 psi off compared to the big gauge.

A friend bought some off of ebay for $7 each. He sold me one. Turned a marginal fill device into a useable one. The original gauge is worthless unless you fill to exactly 2000 or 3000 psi. No way to consistently fill to an odd number.

it was $174 shipped. http://www.hamcontact.com/airgun/HoseAssembly/ .....a little pricey but the damn thing will be here when the cows go home! i don't have to ever second guess the thing is going to blow up in my face or damage my gun. i wanted something that i had confidence in that it was safe since i will be using it around my granddaughter.

That is what I have. For that price I don't think that includes a hose with a female quick disconnect fitting so it may add up to with it all.

the unit i bought has a 3ft. micro line and a quick disconnect fitting included.

Bhawanna: Seems I am having the same problem trying to get through to this guy, doesn't answer emails, etc. I already have the yoke, and only need the micro line and fitting , (1/4") with a gauge. My question is, I don't see people using regulators, as I will be filling two guns using different fills, how do you know what your fill pressure is? Sorry if this sounds silly, new to this game, do you just use the gauge on the tank to indicate fill pressure? thanks for any and all advice.

Larry, you either use the gauge on your gun (if it has one) or the one on the fill station to determine the proper pressure. If you don't want to wait for Joe to get back to you there are other places on the web you can get microline hoses.

Just as an update, I ordered one from Joe and he will only accept Paypal or money order. When I ordered the yoke assembly, he quoted me $159.00 plus 14.50 shipping, for $173.50. Once the money was sent he then said it was 183.50, (169.00 Plus 14.50 = $183.50) This is to only let everyone know that the price may have increased.
