I bought my Logun Gladi8or back in September but never quite found my accuracy with it. Now you would think that £600 / $1200 rifle would be accurate, especially as it has a Lothar Walther match grade barrel. I assumed that I had lost the knack during my ten years off from shooting.
I sent the gun in for service and had the barrel changed because the barrel had moved within the shroud and it came back as good as new but I still had niggling doubts about accuracy. It was nothing that I could put my finger on but I just didn't feel that it was as good as it could be. I decided to replace the original barrel and bought a shorter Weihrauch barrel as the original one is way too long.
After a lot of machining and fitting the barrel now goes in perfectly and works fantastically. I am really surprised at just how much more accurate it is compared with the original one. It is now a tack driver at 25yds, I hope to get out and use it in anger soon. Losing the shroud is not a problem as I make shrouds and LDC's and there is now room to fit an LDC without the gun being too long.
