I have both a viper and a s1k,has anyone else ever noticed that the first few shots tend to do their own thing,or is it just me?Typically the first few shots out of either of these guns will b a little right and strung out vertically, was thinkin it was me but they do it with great consistency(lately been just firin spoilers into ground)Anybody else ever notice this or is it just me?

Typically a new Gamo needs the barrel swabed out real good. And yes your shots will be inconsistant for the first 1000 and sometimes more pellets.  Also it will depend on the pellets that you use as well. But let the barrel season before selling it..:)

...I take it that you mean the first few shots in any given shooting session.

That's not all that unusual. Springers will sometimes take a few shots to "warm up".

Hey Barry, I think Vince is right as well as Gene. But here is one more thing I have noticed about springers in particular and that is temperature change. Medium to heavy changes in tempurature seem to effect the accuracy of my springers. I find that if I take a springer from the gunrack and then to porch it is not very consistant. There can be a 20degree difference in tempurature + or -. But, if I sit the gun in it's new enviroment for about 10 minutes before I shoot it, the gun shoots just like it did the last time I put it away. Just my 2 cents 8) .
