: Short AA 400 Classic review
: jon August 17, 2007, 11:52:50 AM
I shot a little at lunch today and had a blast with my gun.

I'm not gonna go to much in depth Kirby has done most of the work, I have the same rifle except in single shot configuration.

I have one main point to make, most guys and gals wanna know how fast and how much power PCP's have, and they sometimes forget the value of a good plinker.

This gun could ALMOST replace every toy in your gun cabinet, it has the power (30 FPE +) and it gets a load of shots on low power,  I shot over 100 shots on a fill and I didnt worry about how fast they were going and all the detailed stuff.

I have to say I had more fun than I have had in a long time with this gun, just shooting it.  Low power only not worrying about how many shots I have left , plinking at whatever caught my interst, and more importantly with no effort. AND with no loss of accuracy!

I orginally sighted in my gun on half power at 20 yards, on low power it shot 1 mil-dot low with my BSA mil-dot at the same distance!  20 Yard plinker anyone?  ME ME ME !!!!!

This has become my favorite gun over night, I'm sure there are other nice adjustable powered guns out there for a decent price, but ask yourself, does the gun truly have that fun factor?  The AA 400 classic has it and more!

Thanks for your review Jon,

The AA 400 Classic suresounds like a fine PCP Rifle. If I ever find myself looking for a PCP, it will be on the top of my list, it sounds like a fun shooter !

I know what you mean Jon.. When I bought my Sumatra, I was pretty proud of it because of the 65fpe it would shoot. It had a 6 round clip. It was powerful and had decent accuracy. But that was were the excitement stopped..:) It was heavy, hard to pump up and the pellets were a bit expensive.... Not until I bought my FX Cyclone .22 did I realize what a nice lite weight PCP was easy to shoot and carry around. I only gets 30fpe but that is fine. I get at least 35 to 40 good shots on high and a load of them on low. It is deadly accurate and a blast to shoot...:) But I always go back to my springers..:) I guess I am a died in the wool springer head.. hehe

Hope you keep enjoying your new baby.

I'm almost about to cave in and buy myself one of these.  I would really like the multishot though, but the cost does go up.  That's it, I've figured it out, I just need more money!
