about something. I dont want to sound like a nutcase, but the other day, a friend of mine came by. I havent seen him in a couple of years. We were bs'ing and he just out of the blue said,'a revolution is not too far away.' Now he is not a 'strange' person.I blew it off. But since that day, SO MANY PEOPLE that I have been in contact with have casually mentioned a 'revolution'. Customers at work that I have never met before, the owner of the feed store that I went to for the first time today, etc.I am not a paranoid person, and I dont fall into gossip or rumors, but there are too many coincidenses for me to not think about this a little. Did I not get the memo or what??!! I dont watch t.v., or read the paper,  so I am out of the loop, but it sounds like the people are FINALLY getting tired of getting dumped on.Any thoughts or comments? I was actually asked to join a kind of 'militia' today![ the feed store guy]

I think that as times get harder and it becomes more and more difficult to "make ends meet" people tend to become more aware and openly critical of the political corruption and unfair economic practices that seem to plaque the working class. I too have heard many people openly discussing their level of frustration with the "way things are" and like you, have heard people use the term "revolution".

I personally don't believe such a revolution is a real possibility, or anything to be concerned about, but it does concern me how disgusted and upset so many people seem to with the way things are running in our society.  Maybe it's good that so many people are so upset,,, perhaps it will persuade our leaders to change things for the better...  Wouldn't that be nice ????

Despite all the problems that exist in our society, and we do have many,,, you have to admit though that we still have the best system around. In many other countries people are not free to voice their anger at the state.......... Anyway,,, just my 2 cents and it applies of course only to me :)

I agree with Jeff assessment 100%,

However, when "the people" see corruption happening in the open, and Professional Politicians jockeying for positions for monetary and political gain, the "people become unsure of there Constitutional Rights and the guaranties of the Bill of Rights, they begin make noises sounding like men ready to take action. I don't believe, and have never seen more that idle expressions of dissatisfaction come of this.

During every Oil and Gas increase in price, crime and political unrest had raised its ugly head. Long lines at the gas stations and shortages have always caused massive complaints, but nothing has ever changed. The last of "the people" to attempt change, and not even by force, were shot down after WW I, on the steps of Congress. These were unemployedVeterans asking for the benefits, Congress promised them. They were shot down by Blackjack Pershing's troops when they failed to disperse and leave their encampments in Washing D.C..

I'm afraid if a "revolution" occurred today, it would have less affect than the Branch Davidians had at Waco TX.

That's just my assessment though,

Bill

It will only happen when taxes are MUCH MUCH higher....and you and your family and everybody else are staving in the streets.  Only then will heads start to roll....look at France a couple of centuries ago....  Start baking cakes   :)
