b3-1 for sale
« on: October 01, 2008, 06:51:12 AM »
i have a b3-1 in .22 that i took apart(my first tune) tried my best to deburr and clean up the inside.  its pretty nice...just have some slight roughness in the cocking(i've posted about it in the china gate, and airgun gate)...i'm still going to take it apart again to try to fix that problem though.  the firing is really nice for the money it costs for the gun.  it has the qf-2 spring in it, along with a properly lubed guts, and washers to fight the spring torque...the accuracy is a bit off, but as far as i can tell, the only problem part on the barrel is the crown, but i don't have stuff to re-crown, nor the money to get a ball bearing and polishing compound.  if anyone readin this has also read my post in the back room, i need money, so just give me an offer, and its yours.  i also sanded down the stock, and made it much more ergonomic for a right handed person(its a little better for a lefty, also, but i worked more on righty grip, and i filed a little off of the stock in front of the trigger guard(gave it a crosman phanton look, kinda) and now its much more comfortable to hold.  then gave it a truck bed liner finish...there is a small dip in the stock in front of the front right stock screw(i put about a dozen coats on it...its very durable now, but that also caused this one imperfection) but i'm also going to try to fix that.)  i'm not selling it until i try one more time to smooth out the cocking, and fix the stock, unless there's someone that really doesn't care...but it is much better than stock.

my cell is 5709725228-email is davided_1@hotmail.com...someone bite...i need the cash badly.  great first gun for someone.

i don't have a chrony, or anything like that, so i can't give you numbers, sorry, but i know that this gun can def take squirrel and the like at 30-35 yards once the crown is rodone(i would also have paul put a choker muzzle break on it...it really does wonders for the accuracy).  but the power is def there...if you can get better accuracy, than even farther distance, but its powerful enough.

thanks for lookin.

Dave

idk...i spent 30 on the gun, and $8 for the qf-2 kit...what do you think?  what would you spend on it?
