Deer it's whats for supper (Grilled?)
« on: November 07, 2008, 03:09:13 AM »
But where did the deer go?!?!?

Driving on the autobahn in Germany at 140mph in his BMW Z4, the Driver Hit a Deer...
The deer disappeared...
The driver stopped and wondered where did the deer go???
Scroll down to see what he found!!!

Sorry, the pictures are too big to upload and I am having trouble sending them to my program that re-sizes.

I sent the pic to Craig he posted it. See his comment

Is that really possible? Seems like a small deer for what we get in our neck of the woods.

Amazing!

The roe deerin Germanyare smallish and fallow deer are relatively tiny. The maturered deer would have demolished the front if not the whole car. They are bigger but not likely to be found on the autobahn.

A friend sent me this pic about a year ago and it looks a little different than yours.  It is believed to be photoshopped because if you look closely, it seems the deer went right through the engine block which we know can't happen, but then again at 140mph who knows where deer is supposed to end up.  With a car that low to the ground it should have gone over the hood or up in the air, but again who knows..

Most deer species in Germany and generally throughout Europe are smaller than our white tail, but like Dave said a red mature deer can get pretty big and would have destroyed that Z4.  I doubt too that you would find a red deer anywhere near the autobahn, they 're way deep in the forests and not easy to spot.

I sent Craig 3 pics, he only posted one, the other 2 kind of supported the first IMO. I don't think you could photoshop what I saw in the others.

I think it would be possible for it to happen the way it appears, if the deer were to be positioned head on with the car, it looks like to me he is just smeared around the block not through it
