I have a TF79T on HPA in .177. It been pretty heavily modified.
- delrin valve stem from Mountain Air, I cut a ridge into it to hold the return spring and keep it straight.
- valve has been cleared out of all but the stem and the return spring.
- Bolt has been bobbed and probed
- Transfer port replaced with ice maker tubing for improved flow
- inside of the tubes were polished up to about 1000 grit then bolt was molyed up to slide smooth
- trigger polished, molyed and adjusted
- added 1" of hardwood to each end of the stock to make it fit an adult human, then coated with bedliner.
- added custom aluminum muzzle brake with target crown from Airgun Toys
- added regulated 3000psi HPA bottle, shimmed regulator to up pressure a bit. There is a few scratches on the regulator from where I took it apart...dumb me:(
- ground away some un-needed weight from the hammer to help reduce bounce and improve shot count
Shoots JSB's about 800fps average, hammer spring could easily be replaced for much higher velocity, I wanted good shot count with quieter report. The stock could use a fresh coat of bedliner, but not needed. The action has no serious blemishes that I could find. Shoots where you point it with JSB's, I get one hole at 15 yards, haven't really shot it much past that. Below is a 10 shot string, I think you could easily get 70 shots on a 3k psi fill, probably more. Reason for selling, some need to go before others can arrive....wife doesn't know why I need more than one:(
