Congratulations Harry. Beautiful specimen and awesome photos. Time to start a nice hunting album and it could replace the mounting. And will be less dust to clean :)

I like the old title Harry.  Play off of "Close Encounter of the Third kind"  right?  With the cost of your mounting options it's a good thing you took a lot of pics.

Thanks guys.

Ed you 're right.  After I run out of things to shoot, which I know I will at this rate, I may start shooting the mount and drain $700 down the toilet :-)

Sio:  Yes, that's the movie I got it from :-)  I 've had several other hunting posts with different variations but it's getting old :)

Ok now off to develop the 464 hunting pictures I have on the camera's SD card!  That will probably cost me just as much!!  hehehe  I 'll have to be selective and pick the best 100 pics or so.
I do have everthing on Photobucket.com but I guess that doesn't count :)

Congrats on that big ole boy !!! I never would have thought a mount would cost that much !!! With my coon we just skinned and fleshed him....Week of Kosher salt dried him right out..No it's not a soft supple perfect pelt but along with the Albino squirrel it makes a nice backdrop in my gun cabinet...Lots of videos on Youtube if ya need any tip on skinning and fleshing..

Thanks Brent,
Kosher salt hey?  Maybe he 'll go to heaven now?  hehe just busting :)

Yep I gotta read up on the "skin care" and how to skin a coon without damaging any of it.
