New Gun Rack
« on: January 24, 2009, 09:30:20 AM »
I had some scap cedar around so I needed a gun rack and built this. Since I've only got 5 guns I made a 6 slot rack , told the wife now I have to fill in the rack for balance but she didn't buy it ( I'll keep at it though ).

I really envy guys folks that can work in wood that way. Very nice job!

Thanks Tim. Sure go ahead and copy I used boiled linseed oil only I'll wait a couple of months then used a poly on it. By the way there are no nails or screws in it it's all glue and dowels. The bottom is a 2 1/2" rough cut piece with each butt stock routed out on a 5 deg angle front to back. If I was to do it over again I wouldn't use all heart wood but as I said it was scrap. PM me if you want dimensions.

Very nice work.  Looks great, except for that empty slot (LOL).  Post a few more close up pictures when you can.
