OK , I was reading another post and there was some frustration on the RWS end cap rattle. This mod will fix that. It also will work on any clones with this type of cap design.
Why Dianawerks did not do this simple fix is beyound me. Its stops the rattle and the movement all together. The best part its CHEAP.
OK start with a tin of JSB preditors , Why them well the foam is right around .100 to .110 thick and it gives a perfect seal with out fighting to get it on the chamber tube.Number two is its damn near the right size. I know other brands have that foam and I have not measured it but it needs to be that t hick NO thicker. Crosman type foam wont work.
The pictures are self explanatory.
Tools needed:
Sharp scissors
foam from tin / Must be the right thickness.
1. Cut around the foam circle like you see outlined in the black. You will be removing about 1/8 th inch all the way around.
2. Cut a small hole out 2/3 up a centered for the safety to clear. To do this pinch the foam between your fingers and nip out the piece.
3 Slip over the safty and slide the end cap on. If any is sticking out remove and trim.
I have used this on my 34 with great sucess. No rattles or noise.
