You see, after tasting that SS1000 last spring, there was NO WAY I was gonna get another cheap Beeman before I knew more about it. Even though the lady insisted that the GH1050 has a different mechanism than the one I had, I'm not so sure. After all, the Chinese merely copy the existing designs.
She also seemed to get a little - er, snobby - when she mentioned Gamo. And no, they don't have "direct sears" like she seems to think, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find one with such a horrendous trigger pull. 6-8lbs? With that kind of trigger weight, you ain't gots no reason to get snobby about your products.
Besides, she shouldn't be slamming a competitor when she doesn't know much of anything about them.
Oh - I almost forgot - I had called them a couple of weeks ago at just about 7:00 our time (4:00 their time). The lady transferred me to CS, where I remained on hold for 20 minutes - with the recording constantly asking me to continue holding. I finally hung up and called back - and found that they had all gone home at 4:00 (when I first called).
