Sportsman's Guide Question
« on: March 09, 2009, 03:43:38 AM »
Hi, I'm not sure which forum this belongs on. I made my first order the other day at SG and noticed that I got free shipping, double the member's discount on every item purchased and I used a coupon for $10 off. Even with the cost of the membership, this was a smoking deal Beeman P17s for $32 w/ red dot, BSA .22 red dot sights for $12. What I'm trying to figure out is how I got the double member's discount deal. Was it a day of the week or perhaps a temporary special? I've tried making a shopping cart as a new customer, using the same coupon code, putting similar items in the cart etc but the double member's discounts are eluding me. Does anyone have any ideas? I probably should have ordered everything I might want in the future on that first order.

I've been a Sportmansguide member for many years and have made many purchases with them and I've never gotten a "double members discount" and I've used some very creative coupon strategies too.  Sounds like a glitch in the system that worked in your favor.  Enjoy it  :)

That's what I was afraid of. I knew I should have bought that RWS 460, the Daisy 717, and a couple of Rugers!

On my last order I renewed my membership. I received the double too!  It is a deal that when you sign up or renew with an order they throw all that in. It may be a recent thing as I did not get that when I first joined a year ago..  Guess it is another ,,," hope we drum up business"  for these times...  Frank

I tried with a friend a moment ago and double-discounts baby! He had an RWS 460 scope combo in the cart for $399.97 with free shipping after adding the membership to the cart. It may be time to do some more shopping.

I just love a happy ending   :)

Now I'm almost tempted to go renew my membership and buy something, but I know the Mrs. would kill me.....
