Ran out of adjustment.

I have run out of windage adjustmnet on my Beeman RS 2 with a Centerpoint 4-16X40 AO scope. Any ideas of what I can do or look for. To fix this problem. The gun will shoot one hole groups but they are 1 inch left and 1 inch high. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

1.  At what range?  One  piece mount, or separate rings?

2.  Have you tried pulling the top of the rings off/removing the scope; then completely loosening the bottom mount screws and retightening while gently wigglng to ensure both side plates are seated in the grooves the same?

3. Reversing one (or the other) plate on the off chance that one of the grip plates is in opposite orientation relative to the other?

Did you sight it in with the open sights? Were they all the way to one side? Sound like something might be goofed up with the mounts...may need to recenter the scope and try again...

25 yards. Seperate rings. I have not tried anything yet. I was going to pull everything off and clean and remount everything. I am going to swap the rings fornt to rear rear to front and check the plates.

Betcha' it's either one ring wasn't seated quite completely into the groove, or one plate was reversed.

I agree. This set up has been on the gun for a while. I think I have had something move. They are Accushot High rings and have been very good so far. The rear mount is right up against the scope stop.Stock screws are tight and I never sighted it with the open sights. This gun is due to be tuned soon. So I will have to decide if I want to remove everything twice.

Don't know if you checked GTA library? Library's got SCOPE HELP topics that I got pointer on setting up my scopes. I have an RS2 and I have to shim the back of my one piece mount with a film negative.

Hey Bill, I know this sounds totally off the wall,..but it worked for me on a few occations. Mount the rings just to snug without the top halves of the rings. Flip it over and see if the rings sit flat on something like a kitchen counter top. Keep snugging the mounts to the action a little bit at a time until you feel they are tight enough. But make sure they both sit flat on the smooth surface. The same thing can be done with a wooden 1"/30mm dowel (dependant on scope tube diameter of course),...A broom handle will work as well,..sometimes.Just take your time what ever course of action you take,..and I'm sure your problem will be solved. Don't forget to re-zero your rets as well!!!! Best Wishes, tjk
