New Disco Stock In Daylight
« on: May 26, 2009, 12:38:32 PM »

Ok, I dont want to bore you guys to death.
Your patience and encouragement has been great.
Thank you for everything.

I wasn't satisfied last night with my stock
but today it started to grow on me.
This should be the final pictures I post on it for a while
unless its in hunting gate.

I may do some work on the stock again but if I do,
I will only show what is finished. I need to clean the glue off
the barrel and give the rifle a good cleaning.

This was my first time doing all of this, so all in all,
I cant complain. I may tackle a walnut stock in the future.

Ok, her she is again...................

Keep them pics coming Paul. She does look lighter in the daylight but still very nice work. Trust me it looks better than my Disco stock ( mine doesn't have one ).

I may try to make another one,
but it will be a while before I do it again.
I think I found an easier way to do it.
No two would ever be exactly alike though.

If everyone does get tired of my posts,
I will add an appropriate picture below to
me on your behalf.

That sure came out nice Paul,, I love it!! I love the shape,,I really like stocks with that reverse angle in front. Today I pulled out my old 2260 stock & removed my Disco stock. I have been measuring & staring at them for hours now. Thanks alot Buddy!!  :o  :p  8)  I think Im going with a laminated version,, center lamination planed down to 11/16" will make inletting a little easyer. :)  You just had to start this didnt Ya!! :o  Just what I need,, another project. I personally have very much enjoyed all of your posts from start to finish Paul. You should be very proud,, job well done Sir!! Tim.
