Aint that amazing that they beat them seven straight times &  when the YANKEES win tonight they'll be tied for first place! By the end of the year it will all even out like it does every year,if you look at the past ten years the RED SOX have pretty much dominated the YANKEES in the first half of the season & then the YANKEES do the same to them. Coming into this series both teams were even from their last 110 games, both were 55 & 55,obviously now that the RED SOX won the last two they have a 57 to 55 edge, which like I said they would balance out by the seasons end! BTW..The Yankees haven't fielded their full healthy line-up,not once this season, that's pretty scary that they're keeping pace with the first place RED SOX! The season is 162 games not 59! Let's see what happens in September! :)

I dunno, in the last two nights, two of the Yankees' hotshot starters couldn't get through 3 innings. I think the Red Sox just plain scare the Yankees. They can't get '04 out of their heads.......... :p

Raoul,,Neither one of their pitchers were there in 2004 so I don't think it would affect them. Wang was one of the best pitchers in baseball from 2006 till the middle of 2008 when he broke his foot,he had 46 wins & 14 loses in that 21/2 yr. span. I really don't think it's the RED SOX that bothers him. Then again, I'll say it that seven wins against the YANKEES & they're one game behind them in the standings,I would think it's the RED SOX that are wondering where this team that was in last place at the end of April, have come from, that with a win tonight would put them in a first place tie .

Joe, I didn't necessarily mean that those two pitchers were haunted by '04, but more the team as a whole. This year they just seem to lose their edge when playing the Sox.
The Yankees could very well win tonight, they're bound to win one eventually............ :p

And just think when they win tonight,,The Sox will probably be talking to themselves asking what happened,we beat the Yankees seven out of eight games & we are tied for first!!!! :o  BTW...Today is only June 11, there's still two thirds of the season left to play! :)

You're right, Joe, still plenty of games left. But they don't face each other again until August( 7 more times), so we'll have to wait and see.
