Benjamin .22 Classic (Canadian version)
« on: June 22, 2009, 09:51:33 PM »
Hi all,
I've recentley purchased the Benjamin Classic .22 here in Canada (it is 495 fps)
My question is around a re-build.
I have just obtained my FAC or PAL licence to own airguns over 500 fps. Can I "tune-up" the Benjamin with aftermarket parts?
The gun looks exactly like the Benjamin Super Sstreak Nickel finish.

If so, where would be a good place to source good quality parts, etc.

Thanks for your help.

Send it to Mac1 and have them rebuildit to US specs. That should get you over the 500FPS mark. You could also have it steroid tuned for close to 850-900 or so.

The Benjamin  Classic is a break barrel rifle . There were some advertised on Pyramid's site awhile back. You could call Crosman and ask if they have a heavier rated spring and parts needed to power it up.  For example, the Quest version has both a low velocity spring and a heavier one. Maybe there is a similar part available for it.
