White Line Spacer or Scavenger hunt.
« on: June 21, 2009, 11:24:07 AM »
Recently I saw a GTA member AG with a white line spacer that he had put  on the butt end of the stock and the pistol grip.  I have wondered how to do the same.  Today while at Wal-Mart I was looking at some Poly Cutting Boards and a thought came over me.  I purchased one.  When I got home I traced out the out line of the stock on the poly then cut out the rough pattern.  Using a belt sander the rest of the excess was removed .   By being careful I got the contours right and have left just enough material to blend everything smooth when I re-finish the stock.  I do not care for brownish/orange colors on Crosman AGs. And plan to try a Walnut stain in the future.

Anyway the White Line looks pretty good .  It dresses up an otherwise plain looking AG. And it was cheap.

Gentleman of Fortune.

Hum-bug!

I have done the same using those for white plastic forsale signs you see at Low's and other hardware stores. Just trace cut and sand. Drill a couple holes and you are all done.
