B40 good news and bad...

Had some fun with my new MM B40 .177 this weekend.

Was looking for her favorite pellets.  Turns out she loves CPLs.  That's the good news.  She also hates Predators!  That's the bad news.

FTS and Superdomes work okay.  I have not tried Crow mags or Exact yet.  CPLs are a great pellet and I'm glad the rifle likes something cheap!  I have to try CPLHPs as well.

Shots were done from a rest at 15 yards.  I'm not a great shot, and the glass of wine probably didn't help!

Give it time. You may get lucky. My B26-2 changed preferences after about 500 shots.

Only about 200 shots so far.  She's smoothing out nicely.

What a heavy beast!  My uncle wanted to borrow it for a rabbit problem and I was tryig to sight it in with Predators...  But man.  I didn't even unscrew the adjustment covers.

I'm sure she'll change her preferences, but MAN.  Look at that horrific group with the Preds!  Not sure she'l ever like them.

From what I have read though, CPLs and FTS make a good hunting pellet.

I noticed the Preds fit in the breech looser than the others with the CPLs being the tightest.  CPLs snap it with some effort.  I have a black thumb after an hour of shooting.  I'm just glad she likes CPLs since my B26 .22 like the FTS.  A little pricey but I love the groups.

You two are still getting to know each other and maybe she'll have a change of heart when she seasons some and crave the Predators. Ed
