TF-89 contender
« on: August 04, 2009, 11:23:09 AM »
I have the tf-89 in .177. I emailed Compasseco to see if I could put a .22 calibur barrel  on this gun and they said yes. Does anyone know if this will work for sure? Or is there a difference in the rest of the gun. Thanks. Joe.

Joe it will work great. Same gun in .177 and .22... Nothing different except the bore size. Compaseco probably sells the barrels as well.

Gene, thanks for the reply, and you are right. They have the barrel for 25 bucks. Take care. Joe.

Gene,

I just sent you my .177 TF-89. Can you swap out the barrel to make it a .22? What would be the additional cost? I'm not sure I want to do it...Compasseco will probably have a nice sale on the TF89 when whatever its replacement arrives and till then I can probably wait and just get one then. I've got a lot of .177 ammo to use up ;-)
