I'm not sure what an Airsporter is but I've got 2 BSA's:
*BSA SuperSport .177 with new seals, a David Slade trigger tune and Theoben gas ram conversion
*BSA Lightning XL .22 with new seals, a David Slade trigger job and Theoben gas ram conversion.
The Lightning XL is immaculate! Flawless wood & metal and shoots smoother than other gas rammed BSA's I'v felt.
The Super Sport has a couple small dings... one in the metal near the breech and due to one of the barrel pins constantly moving outward and damaged the wood I put in a small screw to stop its movement and covered the small debit with a piece of electrical tape that at fist glance you would think it came that way! The pin no-longer moves and the gun shoots flawlessly at 802-810 with 8.8 grain Beeman FTS.
I won't part with the Lightning XL but if you want the SuperSport I'll do it for $400 shipped due to the cosmetics. Both guns are sweet beyond belief! At the last NTAGM(North Texas Airgun Militia) shoot I had multiple offers on the Super Sport one of which was $600 even despite the cosmetics. It's that sweet!
Lemme know your thoughts!
