Hey pindog, I'm fairly new to the pcp scene, I bought my Disco a few months ago so I really have nothing else to personally compare it to (being that I was a former springer man). However, the basic simplicity, quality and price make it a perfect candidate for customizing on a budget. There are some really inexpensive trigger mods, as well as adjustable power mods, plus some gorgeous custom stocks available as well. Plus with the power adjustment mod you can get the Disco well into the 950+ fps range. I looked at the Marauder but was not too thrilled with the price.
