Gamo 220 .22
« on: March 10, 2007, 10:16:28 PM »
Well I buckled down yesterday and did some shooting with the Gamo  220.22 that I received from Dan or Dan(o) or DanoInTx hehe. Anyway I must say the gun shoot's GREAT.!!!!!! :) Remember now guy's that I have NO sight's, open or scoped on this gun yet, it came with none and that's no biggie. :)  The gun is like new as Dano said, only about 200 round's through it but the first thing that I noticed was how light it was compared to my other gun's. This might be do to the lack of scope and laser sight and lamp, you know hunting acc. hehe.I settled in up in my shooting range loft and loaded a Predator into it. There is a threaded bolt sticking up in front which was a mount for the front sight, so I used that for my sight's. Picked out a LARGE target hehe and took the shot, WOW.! There is very little recoil and the trigger pull, it's a CDT trigger is great. I ended up spending 3hr's and a half a tin of pellet's shooting my NO sight's gun and I noticed that the gun has got a real hunting future. I figured out where I needed to look down the barrel and in the end was putting shot's into my pellet trap at 25yrd's, big bullseye hanging in it hehe. The Gamo 220.22 is becoming a beloved member to my growing addiction, er I mean collection thank's to Dano. Well wish you the best with her !

Gotta go to church now, so watch the news, if you see Armageddon in New Jersey, you'll know what happened.

That thing is really sweet, it was actually the one I had planned on keeping if it didn't get much interest.  You however needed it more than me as it would just lean against my wall 90% of the time.  Ya know I took 2 guns back to a friend yesterday and now I only have 1 springer left, the S1K.....and "someone" near and dear to us is interested in that one.

Bill, I don't know but I think Dano installed the CDT trigger, could be wrong but it 's super nice.Dano, she does make some hole's. :p  I keep looking at the .177 hole's and then looking at the .22 one's, all smiles. I wonder who want's that one Dano hehe. Ed

I did the trigger on it, but not much else.  I installed the barrel too, that gun started life as a .177.  I never pulled the action apart to give it a lube tune, but for whatever reason that action was soooooo nice right from the box I didn't want to mess anything up.

Enjoy!
