Yep, I love all those do-gooders, and friends of animals out there.

Let all these cats, bears, wolves and coyotes as well as badgers, wolverines, fox, bob cats, possums and raccoons back into the "civilized" communities and watch the carnage. First their dogs and cats, next the children, and finally the adults !

This is happening in California right now, with bears and cougars attacking runners and hikers. And coyotes attacking pets and small children.

The residents of old removed these dangerous pests years ago, and as of lately been labeled enemies of nature. It may take a few years, but the "civilized" friends of animals will learn that these are just dangerous animals, and that they should have just kept them extinct !

Someday they will learn the hard way that the stupid of us are just food for these creatures.

You nailed it Bill, - most of these folks real "animal lovers" live in cities, probably on the 4th floor of some condo. Back when I lived in Maine, there was (and probably still is) a group from Boston that wants, and is lobbying to, turn ALL of northern Maine into a wilderness sanctuary - no humans allowed. No hiking, no roads, certainly no hunting - it "doesn't belong to us" types.  Funny how these groups pop up in cities, - and never suffer any of the "benefits". - A few years ago, there was a great article in the local paper about a couple from Boston that bought a vacation condo up in the White Mountains here. - Seems the condo was on the second floor, - and the guy called the local cops on a cell phone while hiding in a closet - there was a black bear going through the condo's dumpster!!! - Ya' gotta love & admire these types. .. ;)

Couple I know here moved up from the city to raise sheep and chickens, grow flowers for sale, and host tea party tours of the gardens. Bought a nice place up in the hills backed up to state forest. Peace and quiet with great views - they thought they were moving to an idealic would.

That is, until some kind of large cat started carrying off sheep from their pastures at night. Next thing, the wife is here asking me what kind of small pistol she should buy to fit in the pocket of her jogging pants. Every morning she would  go for a jog through the trails in the state land. Same land the big cat is taking the sheep off into.  She wants to be able to deal with any cat large enough to carry off a full grown sheep.

I told her the pockets on those jogging pants are not big enough !!!!

They moved back to a city not long after that.  :D

That's typical of many people.  They think that Nature is all gentle pastures and that painting of The Peaceable Kingdom with the lions and lambs.  Mother Nature's a B****!  They don't call them wild places for nothing.

John,

My sister just sold her condo near White Mountain. What a coincidence if it was her Black Lab going though the dumpster and the guy thought it was a bear ??????  :D

I moved here to Cherry Hill 30 years ago, and I had Grouse, Pheasants and all sort of nice peaceful animals living close at hand. Heck, you could even hunt in your back yard !

As the years went by, more and more civilized people began moving in here, and developments began taking all the wild lands and farms from the animals, some up and left while other, less desirable animals began to encroach into our areas. I warned the Police Chief what to expect in the coming years, and now it has come to fruition. Raccoons, Possums, Fox and Deer even a small Bear now and then, making a mess of these civilized neighbors yards, and eating some of their pets. Now the out cry is when is "SOMEBODY" going to do "SOMETHING" about this problem !

That's what has become of the GREAT STRONG American People !
