Seal & spring recommendations
« on: December 02, 2009, 02:25:38 AM »
I'd liketo know what after market piston seals to get for my Walther Force 1000/TF89, my Benji SS and Powerline 1000. If anybody has changed them, please let me know the exact part number you used. I've ordered factory replacements but would really like to try better material if available to see if I can eek out some more power. The Walther/TF89 are approximately 1.0625" OD and attach to the piston via a panhead type collared screw. The Benji has a 1.1875" OD seal and mounts via the standard large tapered post. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hey, and any spring and breach seal recomnmendations too. :)
I ordered the JM E9870 spring and it is a good replacement for the Walther/TF89.
Thanks and Happy Shooting!!!!
Dave

Stacking two #83 o-rings works just peachy for breach seals in my Turkish powerline. Cheap and easily aquired! Pretty much any hardware store will have them in the little trays. I am also looking for replacement piston seals and possibly a spare spring for my Powerline. Did you order any from JG Airguns and were they the right size and shape seal? My Daisy is my first love spring air gun and I would like to keep a few extra parts on hand for her while they are still available. I bought a new Gamo Whisper Deluxe and I'm looking for seals and springs for that as well.

Anybody know if there's a Maccari seal for the Daisy/Powerline/Winchester 1000? I can get the factory seal but want an improved piston seal if possible.

Thanks & Happy Shooting!!!!

The Maccarri Walther Talon seal will work,.....but you will need to fit it! My PL 1K had a different piston head rather than the standard "taperred", but John from JG airguns got me a newer piston to suit the factory seals Daisy supplied him with ( still have it and a seal in reserve ).  And they aren't that bad either. It's all in how they are installed that really matters. He also carries the springs as well. Maccarri does sell a few springs that will fit, and the action will run smoother,...but you will lose a bit of power. An even trade off when you think about it really. Country of origin just throws another wrench in the cogs!!!! LOL's The newer Chinese triggers plain suck. Factory Mods,...a joke.  Adjustability,...forget it!!!!! I just modifide one, and dropped the pull down to maybe 5 lbs!?!?!?!?! tjk

Thanks, I've heard some say that about the Talon seal and then heard from some that it won't. I guess it wasdue to the different pistons used. I have 2 Turkish 1000's. My PL has a different piston than the Winchester 1000. I may order both the Talon seals from JM and a new piston from JG.My PL is averaging 16.22 fpe with CPHP and I hope I can get a similar piston and seal to put into my Winchester.

Thanks for the reply.

Happy Shooting!!!!
